Ranking matches

    The minimum equipment tier to reach ranks 1-3 is reduced to 3. The matchmaking tiers remain the same: [2-3] and [4-5].

Team missions

    Fixed the exploits allowing players to complete the mission very fast.
    Due to previously existing exploits, the results of the team leaderboards have been reset now. Each player listed in the table will receive 200 spare parts as a compensation.
    Added new placements of the loot boxes.
    Stash maps added to the list of possible rewards on medium and high difficulty levels in the Team Missions mode.

The results of "The Charge" contest will be counted from November 17, 2017, 04:00 PM (GMT + 2), since new locations for the appearance of loot boxes have been added.

In addition, some results were achieved using the vulnerabilities in the mission. Players to have already submitted their contest applications will receive 2 stash maps as compensation.

Take part in The Charge Contest!

Take part in our new Survarium contest! Complete the “Dangerous knowledge” mission as quickly as possible and win gold, PvE access keys and spare parts for modifying weapons and equipment!

The Rules

    Take in a squad of three players
    Play only on your MAIN account. The participants will be monitored
    Complete the mission ONLY on the first level of equipment and ONLY at the highest difficulty
    Get all 10 loot boxes. Make sure to open all of them once you complete the mission
    Publish the screenshot of the match results with your best time in the corresponding forum topic
    Replace the screenshot if you have improved your result
    Screenshots taken before the start of the contest will not be accepted
    The contest lasts from November 13 to November 27.

The Prizes

There are two nominations for the winners:

    The first nomination requires all players in a squad to be between level 0 to 40
    The second nomination includes the squads of level 41 to 100.

Each nomination has three places:

    First place. All squad members get 2500 gold + 11 PvE keys + 200 spare parts each
    Second place. All squad members get 1500 gold + 11 PvE keys + 200 spare parts each
    Third place. All squad members get 1000 gold + 11 PvE keys + 200 spare parts each.

Additionally, each winner gets a 40% discount on a Survarium t-shirt!

General Changes

    Halloween Event in Survarium is over. Do not forget to exchange symbols of fear for the unique Halloween weapons with unlocked modules! You can purchase more symbols in the shop.
    You will receive a free Access Key for each PvP-match. This way you can get up to two free keys daily.
    The reward for daily consecutive logins on the 7th day was changed from Stash Map to two premium Access Keys.
    Stash Maps will be part of PvE loot. So you have a chance of finding them. This will be added in the next patch.

Bug Fixes

    Fixes issues leading to the game client crashes.
    Fixed an issue with aim mode displaying incorrectly in the Killcam.

General changes

    A Halloween-themed lobby has been introduced for the duration of the event as well as some special offers on the Team Missions access tokens.

So, from November 1 till November 7 we offer a 60% discount on Team Missions access tokens, while the cost of inviting a player, blocking a squad slot and respawning inside the mission is lowered from 50 to 20 gold!

More good news for Halloween: after spending your 2 free access tokens in the Team Missions mode you can earn your new ones without waiting until the next day. Keep getting your free access tokens for each PvP match you play (at a time the player can have no more than two free tokens, however those can be spent and received again at no limit).

Bug Fixes

    Fixed bugs that caused the "Find match" button to work incorrectly
    Fixed bugs that did not show the location of the "supposed" trap setup (mines, C-4)
    Corrections in the Ukrainian localization of the game.

Halloween Event in Survarium has Begun!

Halloween in Survarium is currently active! The event lasts one week: from October 31 to November 7. During the event you will receive additional currency for completing missions: pumpkins, spiders and skulls. Collect enough of those and exchange them for the unique halloween weapons!

We'd like to make you all aware that you can also find the special in-game Halloween currency in caches during the your play-through of the PvE mission, Dangerous Knowledge.

You can get TOZ-122 "Hunter" (2nd equipment tier), H&K MP5 "Bloodlust" (3rd equipment tier) and Glock 17 "The Hallowed Night" (4th equipment tier).

Moreover, for the first victory during the Halloween event you will get a magical pumpkin hat. Put on the hat to receive more pumpkins, spiders and skulls for the missions! Premium account increases the amount of currency as well.



Gather enough currency and exchange it for the weapons with unique Halloween camouphlages and unlocked modules! Participate in the festive event and get unique prizes! Good luck!

Halloween in Survarium

Survarium Patch 0.50 Highlights

Story-driven Team Mission

Story mission tells about a conflict between Black Market and The Renaissance Army, and also unveils the mystery about secret experiments which lead to creation of the Forest. Specifically for this mission we created a new map with lots of both open and indoors locations. We tried to add an element of exploration into the game, and also let you interact with the world of Survarium.

The mission is designed for a squad of three players, and to successfully finish it you need to complete a set of tasks. At least one of the players must reach each of the checkpoints: then defeated squad members (if there are any) are resurrected and may continue. If all squad members are dead, the mission is failed.

While going through the mission you will learn the storyline, but you can also find stashes containing various trophies which you will receive when the mission is successfully finished.

Team Story Missions

    Introduced "Team Missions" mode.
    Introduced "Dangerous Knowlege" team mission. It tells about a conflict between Black Market and The Renaissance Army, and also unveils the mystery about secret experiments which lead to creation of the Forest.
    To begin a mission special Access Keys are required. The keys are divided in free and premium. One free key is awarded for each of the first 2 wins in PvP matches daily (so you can get maximum 2 keys daily), and you cannot own more than 2 free keys. Premium keys can be bought in the shop. Your keys never expire and the free keys are always used first.
    After the first login into Survarium 0.50 all players will receive 5 Access Keys (2 free and 3 premium ones).
    To start a mission you need to spend one Access Key for each person. You can pay for yourself, and also for one or both allies.
    The mission is designed for a squad of three players. However, you can start it solo or with a friend, but you need to block the rest of the spots: pay for another one (if you go duo) or for two other people (if you go solo).
    When you join a PvE mission alone (and have not blocked additional spots), the game will find two squadmates for you.
    While going through the mission you can find stashes with trophies (some of them are hard to miss, but it's not that easy to get all of the stashes). The more stashes you collect, the more rewards you get when the mission is a success. Can you find all the stashes?
    There are three difficulty settings (easy, medium, hard) on each of five equipment tiers. The rewards for completing a mission depend on the number of stashes found, difficulty and equipment tier.
    To successfully finish a mission you need to complete a set of tasks. At least one of the players must reach each of the checkpoints: then defeated squad members are resurrected and may continue.
    You can resurrect immediately by spending an Access Key.
    You can loot fallen enemies to resupply ammo.
    If all squad members are dead, the mission is failed. The mission also has a time limit (45 minutes).
    Added new UI screens before and after team missions.
    Added Leaderboards for Team Missions. Your position is affected by the number of found stashes and mission completion time.

General Changes

    Damage to characters hands increased from 80% to 100%.
    All character skills were reset. Don't forget to redistribute your skill points!

Weapons, Equipment, and Supplies

    Equipment

      Armor on all gloves was brought in line with that of other equipment.

    Assault Rifles

      HK416: slow down descreased from 15% to 12%.

    Machine Guns

      RPD: damage increased from 34 to 36.
      RPK-74M: damage increased from 32 to 33.
      Fort-401: damage increased from 34 to 36.
      PKP "Pecheneg": damage increased from 35 to 36.
      FN Minimi: distance increased from 40 to 50.

    Shotguns

      Shotgun damage on the maximum distance descreased from 30% to 20%.
      NeoStead 2000: pellets grouping when firing from the hip descreased from 9 to 6.
      MR-27M Lancaster: pellets grouping when firing from the hip descreased from 7 to 5.
      MP-153 "Baikal": pellets grouping when firing from the hip descreased from 8 to 6.
      Remington 870: pellets grouping when firing from the hip descreased from 9 to 6.
      TOZ-34: pellets grouping when firing from the hip descreased from 7 to 6.
      Franchi SPAS-12: pellets grouping when firing from the hip descreased from 6 to 5.
      Benelli M4 Super 90: pellets grouping when firing from the hip descreased from 8 to 6.5.
      Vepr-12: pellets grouping when firing from the hip descreased from 7 to 5.
      Siaga-12K: pellets grouping when firing from the hip descreased from 7 to 5, rate of fire descreased from 400 to 350.
      KS-23M "Catbird": distance increased from 10 to 12 meters.
      KS-23M: distance increased from 7 to 8.5, pellets grouping when firing from the hip descreased from 9 to 6.
      Jackhammer: damage increased from 80 to 90.

    Carbines

      Socom 16: distance descreased from 70 to 60.
      SVD: distance increased from 60 to 75, penetration increased from 8 to 10.

    Pistols

      Colt Python: rate of fire increased fom 150 to 175.

Technical Changes

    Improved performance of both renderers (for gaming and old PCs).
    Added distortion stage for the renderer for old PCs.

Bug Fixes

    Fixed issues causin desynchronization.
    Fixed several issues in the tutorial mission.
    Fixed decal shimmering when using the renderer for old PCs.
    Fixed an issue with laser sight dot not showing on characters and objects when using the renderer for old PCs.
    Fixed shimmering of anumated objects when using the renderer for old PCs.

"Laboratory Arsenal" Game Event

    Participate in the special game event dedicated to the Vector Laboratory!
    From September 21 to September 30 complete missions in the game and receive event currency: symbols of the Forest, "Spring" symbols and "Vector" symbols. Collect enough symbols and exchange them for weapons with unique camouflages!
    You will receive a unique "Vector" Helm for the first victory during the event. The helmet provides a bonus to event currency gain. Premium account also provides a bonus.
    You can exchange the currency for "Vector" decal, М4А1 "Hi-Tech" assault rifle (tier 2) and vz. 58P "Laboratory" assault rifle (tier 3).

Weapons and Equipment

New Items

    Added premium tier 5 equipment sets: "Executioner" (Black Market), "Voyager" (The Fringe Settlers), "Bison" (The Renaissance Army), "Fugitive" (Scavengers).
    Unlike other premium sets, tier 5 sets provide a bonus to the character's experience, not reputation.

    AK-74N: recoil increased.

Sniper Rifles

    Mosin Rifle: cartridge chambering time decreased from 1.45 sec to 1.25 sec.

New Seasonal Leagues

    Each season lasts for one calendary month and starts automatically on the 1st day of the month (with the exception of this season which starts with the release of Survarium 0.47d).
    Each season all player ranks are reset (to rank 10).
    When a season ends you receive tokens - a special currency. The higher rank you were able to achieve, the more tokens you get in the end of a season.
    With tokens you can purchase unique items in "Equipment" tab.
    New tab "TOP 100" with the best 100 rank 1 players is available in the league menus. These players get an additional reward when a season ends: a unique icon displayed next to their nickname (in chat, in match and post-match statistics) durin the next ranked season.
    Changes to the ELO rating system: at the beginning of this new season we will take the average of both the ELO rating of the last season and the ELO rating in regular battles.

Weapons and Equipment

New Items

    Added the first few of the unique items available only for league tokens. Those are Mauser M.712 pistol (tier 2) and three backpacks: Medic's Bag (tier 2), Universal Tank (tier 3), Soldier's Backpack (tier 5).
    Added new premium Mauser M.712 "Black Harvest" pistol (tier 2).




Assault Rifles

    AK-74N: damage decreased from 37 to 36, stopping power decreased from 60% to 50%, initial recoil increased.
    FN FNC: slow down decreased from 10% to 7%, initial recoil decreased.
    MSBS Radon: damage increased from 29 to 30, initial recoil decreased.
    L85A2: damage increased from 32 to 34, slow down increased from 8% to 10%.
    9A-91: damage decreased from 36 to 35.
    AK-12: recoil increased by 10%.
    ASh-12: initial recoil decreased, further recoil increased.
    FN SCAR-H: initial recoil decreased.
    VHS-2: damage increased from 28 to 29.
    VSS: decreased recoil from the 5th to the 10th bullets.

Sniper Rifles

    TOZ-122: damage increased from 130 to 135, distance decreased from 65 to 60.

Shotguns

    Pellet dispersion of all shotguns when shooting from the hip and aiming down the sights increased by 20-25%.

Economics

    Gold to silver exchange rate now depends on maximum faction rank of your character. 1 gold can be exchanged for 200/300/400/600/800 silver on equipment tiers 1/2/3/4/5 correspondingly.

Bug Fixes

    Fixed an issue when a battery was falling through the map if the character carrying the battery was killed.
    Fixed an issue when you could get the same mission after a reroll.

Seasonal League

    Now you can't join a ranking match if your equipment tier is lower than minimal requirements for your current rank in the league. Added new restrictions for queuing into a ranking match:

      A player left 1 match per day: search is blocked for 15 minutes.
      A player left 2 matches per day: search is blocked for 1 hour.
      A player left 3 matches per day: search is blocked for 1 day.
      A player was idle in 2 matches per day: search is blocked for 15 minutes.
      A player was idle in 3 matches per day: search is blocked for 1 hour.

    Players who had the same number of points in a ranked match will receive (or lose) stars according to the maximum place among these players. For instance, if two players in a winning team placed 4th and 5th with the same score, they both get stars as if they were placed 4th.
    Players who left too many ranking matches (exploited the system) lost all their progress in the league (their ranks were reset to 10).

Bug Fixes

    Fixed an issue with showing an incorrect league progress (number of starts) on post match screen.
    Fixed an issue causing a weapon to get stuck.

August Seasonal League

    August season starts with the release of Survarium 0.47c and lasts till August 31.
    The main prize of the season is a unique Glock 17 "Legend" pistol with 33 cartridges magazine.
    You need to have at least tier 2 equipment to participate in ranked matches.
    All players in ranked matches are divided in two groups. Group 1: the 2nd and the 3rd equipment tiers, group 2: the 4th and the 5th equipment tiers. For instance, if you have tier 4 equipment, you can be matched with players who have equipment of tiers 4 and 5.
    Ranked matches won't have "Slaughter" mode.
    You will receive 50% more experience, reputation and silver in ranked matches. Kills for unlocking weapon modules are counted with x1.5 multiplier (for instance, 10 kills in ranked matches are counted as 15).
    You can lose ranks when losing matches and stars, but you won't lose ranks below rank 5. But please note that now you can leave rank 1!
    Participate in ranked matches and win! Top 100 rank 1 players will receive an additional season reward: a unique decal!

Glock 17 'Legends' is a reward for reaching rank 1 in August Seasonal League in Survarium!

Gameplay

    Each week 2 game modes are chosen randomly, and you will receive additional rewards for playing in these modes. The bonus applies only to regular matches (non-ranked).

User Interface

    Game mode selection UI updated.
    Added new icons for server connection quality and game performance: packet loss, high ping, unstable ping, low fps.

Bug Fixes

    Fixed an issue when automatic resurrection was not working in "Slaughter" mode.
    Fixed an issue when special ammo was reset when changing profiles.
    Improved game localization in several languages.

Gameplay

    Several new missions are now easier to complete. Requirements to each of the mission steps will update as you progress through the mission.
    You can now choose only one game mode. This change will also allow you to finish your quests and missions faster.

Big Fixes

    Fixed reload time of Saiga-12 and Molot-12 shotguns.
    Fixed shooting animation of AS Val.
    Fixed various UI issues.

Summer Heat in Survarium!

Summer heat in Survarium is already in full swing! Take part in a special gaming event dedicated to all of our beloved summer! From July 26 to August 9, perform tasks in the game and earn a festive currency: symbols of grass, fire and sun. Collect the necessary number of symbols and exchange them for a unique weapon with festive camouflage!

For the exchange are available Remington 700 "Soot" (2nd level of equipment), Socom 16 "Flame" (3rd level of equipment) and PP-2000 "Ornament" (2nd level of equipment). In addition to the unique camouflage, festive weapons give a bonus to experience: + 10%.

General

    "Summer Heat" event is live now. Participate in the event, collect symbols of summer and exchange those for the unique summer weapons!
    Added rewards for consecutive daily logins into the game. You will receive maximum award for 7 day login streak, after that your progress is reset. The progress also resets if you miss even a single day.
    You will start receiving rewards for 7 day login streak only when you have already received all the rewards for 15 logins.
    All character presets, profiles and skills were reset. Don't forget to redistribute your skill points!
    "Detection radius" was renamed to "Unmasking radius": when you shoot and the distance to an opponent is lower than your unmasking radius, the opponent will see your character on the mini-map.
    The tutorial story mission was improved.

Artifact Changes

    Now all characters can activate artifacts by default. "Artifact Use" skill was removed.
    A gathered artifact provides passive bonus for 3 minutes, then self-destructs.
    A character can have only one artifact of each type. If a character gathers an artifact he already has, its destruction timer resets (to 3 minutes).
    Artifact power increased:

      Onyx passively provides 5% defendse (up from 3%).

        When activated, Onyx provides +40% damage resistance for 10 seconds.

      Larkspur passively increases health regeneration by 3 points per seconds (up from 1 point per second).

        When activated, Larkspur instantly recovers HP and heals fractures and bleeding.

      Spring passively increases speed by 5% (up from 3%).

        When activated, Spring increases speed of actions by 30% (excluding rate of fire) and increases run speed to the maximum possible for 10 seconds.

      Sponge passively provides +20% defense against anomalies and explosions.

New Ammo Types

    By default all weapons have only common cartridges.
    To change the ammo type, click on the icon next to the weapon on a character doll.
    In addition to common ammo, the following 4 types are available now:

      Hardened cartridges have increased damage.
      Ballistic cartridges increase effective distance.
      Armor-piercing cartridges increase material penetration.
      Expansive cartridges add bleed chance. Expansive cartridges cannot be used with shotguns.

    Each ammo type (except for common) has three quality levels: first, second, and third generation. The higher the generation, the better bonus cartridges provide.
    Main weapons (assault rifles, SMGs, machineguns, shotguns, carbines, sniper rifles) and pistols use different ammo types.
    You will always receive one cartridge box of a random type for a victory. You won't receive cartridges when you lose.
    The more points you receive in a match, the higher are your chances to get cartridges of the later generation.
    One cartridge box allows you to use the cartridges for one match (regardless of how many bullets you shoot).

New Missions

    Now you can receive one or several of the following missions (N varies depending on a mission and its reward).
    Leader. Finish a match placing no lower than N.
    Brother. Aid allies in N kills.
    Striker. Make N multikills.
    Bloodsucker. Kill N enemies with bleed damage.
    Interventionist. Earn N points for research unit capture.
    Guardian. Kill N enemies trying to capture your research unit.
    Porter. Deliver N batteries to the base.
    Courier. Deliver N artifacts to the base.
    Hunter. Kill N enemies carrying the artifact.
    Cleaner. Kill N enemies carrying the battery.
    Savior. Kill N opponents attacking allies.
    Companion. Save N allies carrying an artifact.
    Partner. Save N allies carrying the battery.

Weapons, Equipment, and Supplies

    General Changes

      Recoil randomization when sitting and moving is the same as when standing.
      All backpacks and tanks: slow down decreased.

    Assault Rifles

      VHS-2: distance increased from 45 to 50, initial recoil decreased, slow down decreased from 10% to 8%.
      AK-12: damage increased from 30 to 32.

    Submachine Guns

      UZI: damage increased from 30 to 32.
      FN P90: damage increased from 28 to 30, slow down when aiming decreased from 15% to 10%.
      SR-2M "Veresk": distance decreased from 25 to 22.

    Machineguns

      Recoil increased.

    Shotguns

      Franchi SPAS-12: damage increased from 80 to 85.
      TOZ-66: damage increased from 125 to 135.
      MP-153 "Baikal": increased from 95 to 105.

    Carbines

      SKS: recoil decreased.
      SOK-94: recoil decreased.

    Pistols

      Damage on maximum distance increased from 30% to 40%.

    Supplies

      RGD-5 grenade: damage increased from 200 to 250.
      RGO grenade: damage increased from 150 to 175.
      MON mine: damage increased from 225 to 275.
      PMN mine: damage increased from 250 to 300.
      C-4 explosives: damage increased from 350 to 600, explosion radius increased from 5 to 6 meter.
      Defense Totem: now lasts up to 40 seconds (up from 20 seconds).

    Updated Premium Sets

      Added the following premium sets: Guerilla Set, Marodeur Set, Berserker Set, Set "Sokol-M", "Defender" Set, "Skinner" Set, "Seeker" Set, "Ghost" Set, Veteran Set, Set "Leshy", Set "UM-2A", Set "Omicron-M".
      These sets have existing and new equipment items.
      These sets have unique set bonuses.
      Visuals of these equipment items was updated.

Bug Fixes

    Fixed animation of aiming dots of ASh-12, SVU, VSS, VSK, VSS "Vintorez".
    Fixed tilting when shooting from VSK-94.
    Fixed shot animations of KS-23M and Remington 870.
    Fixed an issue when you were attack but coudln't see a direction marker of attack.
    Fixed several issues leading to the game client crashes.
    Fixed renderer issue in the tutorial mission.
    Fixed an issue with "Frenzy" skill. Now it provides a correct amonunt of defense.

Update 0.47b is on the PTS!

We're glad to announce that the Public Test Server with Survarium update 0.47b is live! To participate in the test, please download new game version. Please note that the temporary shutdowns of the PTS are possible when installing updates and making urgent changes.

You can participate in the test if you registered in Survarium no later than June 15. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to login to the PTS if you have registered via Steam due to a different authentication system.

All testers will receive 10 thousand spare parts, 10 million silver, and 10 thousand gold to make purchases on the PTS. Characters and progress in the main game as of June 15 will be copied to the test server. However, the progress you make during the test will not be transferred back to the main server! The PTS has no way if receiving payments, so purchases made in Survarium shop are automatically credited to your account on the main server.

Survarium Update 0.47 Highlights

Story-driven Tutorial Mission

To improve the newcomers' experience we created a brand new tutorial. It was made from scratch including new anomalies and buildings. We believe the mission will be interesting to Survarium veterals as well. Try it out from the Play menu!

Game Mode: Slaughter

We are introducing a new game mode called "Slaughter". This is a Team Deathmatch set on the smaller maps, so expect to see maximum action and a lot of kills per minute!

New Weapons: KS-23M and PPSh "Drum"

A new tier 5 shotgun KS-23M is available as a trophy in Treasure Hunt. The fans of classic weapons will be thrilled to see a rare PPSh with a drum magazine (unlike its unique V-E Day counterpart, this one doesn't a special red camo).

Animation of Special Items

The game now has animations of characters using bandages, medkits and antitoxins. But keep in mind that you won't be able to shoot during the animation, so look for a right moment to patch yourself up in a shootout! We plan to add more animations in the future.

Equipment Profiles and Premium

By default all players will have only one equipment profile. Buy up to two additional profiles using silver, and they are yours forever! Premium accounts now also get a +50% bonus to spare parts found in a match. And bonuses to silver now affect all battle rewards (including medals).

More Maps Variations

Survarium Update 0.47 brings five more variations of the maps: two new versions of Chemical Plant, two – of Vostok Radar Station, and another one of Cologne Bridge. Thanks to a larger variety of locations the game will offer more tactical choices!

Weapon Balance Changes

Some changes are only to damage or distance, but other are more substantial. Recoil patterns of all weapons were changed and are now more predictable. Recoil randomization was lowered and equalized for all weapons. Recoil when firing from the hip is now the same as when aiming down the sights, but dispersion from the hip was substantially increased.

General

    Added new intoductory mission for new players. Existing players can access the mission from the Play menu. Please choose "Tutorial" to play the mission.
    Added new game mode Slaughter: it has the same rules as Team Deathmatch, but battles are held on smaller locations.

Economics

    Increased silver rewards for completing match objectives.
    Decreased silver rewards for completing missions.

Gameplay

    Added animations when using medkits, bandages and antitoxin. During these animations you cannot perform other actions.
    Time before the HP regenarion (without using medkits) starts increased from 5 to 7 sec.
    Character move speed decreased by 5%.
    You can now swap weapons right after making a shot.
    Point capture time in Research mode decreased by 25%.

Boosters

    Now you can use up to 3 boosters at any given time.
    Booster prices were changed. Now they depend on the match tier (character equipment) and number of active boosters.
    Tornado Energy Drink: increases run speed by 5%, but no longer increases stamina (energy).
    Anomalous Force Protein: now increases maximum stamina (energy) by 25%. This booster is not available on the PTS for now.
    Rations: bonus to HP regenarion increased from 1 to 2 points per second.
    Radio: bonus to resurrection speed increased from 15% to 30%.
    Motherwart extract: now provides 30% protection from fractures.
    Artifact-master: now increases artifacts' passive effects by 30%.
    All existing boosters were removed and the players were compensated for their full price in silver.
    Premium boosters now last for one match and provide +50% to experience, reputation or silver according to the booster type.
    All existing experience, reputation and silver boosters were converted to new boosters of the corresponding type so the sum of the bonuses is the same (rounding up). For instance, if you had 2 +10% boosters for 3 matches each, their summary bonus is 2x3x10% = 60%. Thus you will receive two +50% boosters for 1 match (60%/50% rounding up = 2).

Locations

    Added two new variations of Vostok Radar Station.
    Added two new variations of Chemical Plant.
    Added one new variation of Cologne Bridge.

Weapons, Equipment, and Special Items

    General Changes

      Added a new rare tier 5 shotgun KS-23M.
      Added a new premium tier 5 shotgun KS-23M "Catbird" with slug bullets.
      Added a rare tier 1 PPSh "Drum" with drum magazine.
      Parameters of all classic weapons (with "Old" suffixes) changed so those weapons better fit their equipment tiers.
      Changed recoil of all weapons. Now recoil patterns are more predictable.
      Randomization of recoil was decreased and equalized across all weapons.
      Recoil when shooting from the hip is now the same as when shooting aiming down the sights.
      Dispersion when shooting from the hip was significantly increased.
      Dispersion now linearly changes when switching from firing from the hip and aiming down the sights (it used to change instantly when the transition was finished).
      Removed built-in bonuses of gloves and boots.
      Set bonuses to movement speed lowered from 4%/2.5% to 3%/2% correspondingly.
      Set bonuses to recoil decrease lowered from 10%/7% to 7%/5% correspondingly.
      The Renaissance Army Medkit: damage resistance decreased from 20% to 15%, resistance duration increased from 2 to 7 sec.
      Painkillers: damage resistance decreased from 33% to 25%, resistance duration increased from 3 to 7 sec.

    Assault Rifles

      AKM: damage increased from 30 to 32.
      Valmet Rk.62: damage increased from 32 to 34.
      AKS-74U: slow down decreased from 8% to 7%, damage increased from 26 to 30.
      AK-74M: damage increased from 35 to 37, stopping power increased from 50% to 60%, penetration increased from 10 to 12, slow down increased from 13% to 14%.
      vz. 58 P: distance decreased from 40 to 25, penetration decreased from 8 to 6, damage decreased from 30 to 28.
      FN FNC: distance decreased from 37 to 35, damage increased from 27 to 28, penetration decreased from 10 to 8, slow down increased from 8% to 10%, aiming time decreased from 0.3 to 0.25 sec.
      Vepr: penetration increased from 6 to 10, slow down increased from 10% to 12%, damage increased from 32 to 35, aiming time increased from 0.3 to 0.35 sec. Draw time is now 0.6 sec (used to be 0,5 sec), holster time is now 0.25 sec (used to be 0.2 sec).

      Distance decreased by 25-35% depending on the weapon.

    Carbines

      SKS: damage decreased from 65 to 60.

    Sniper Rifles

      ASVK: rate of fire increased from 19 to 29, stopping power increased from 50% to 60%.

    Pistols

      Damage on maximum distance decreased from 50% to 30%.
      Fort-17: distance decreased from 40 to 35, damage increased from 32 to 34.
      Beretta 93R: damage increased from 24 to 27.
      Colt M1911: damage decreased from 50 to 38.
      Glock 17: damage decreased from 26 to 25.

Premium-account and Equipment Profiles

    Premium-account no longer provides additional equipment profiles.
    Premium-account now increases spare parts gain by 50%.
    Premium-account now also provies +50% to silver gain for the rewards (medals).
    You can buy the second equipment profile for 200,000 silver. After that it is yours forever.
    You can buy the third equipment profile for 500,000 silver. After that it is yours forever.

Treasure Hunt

    You will no longer get equipment you already have as a potential reward (if you have all equipment of your current tier, you will get a random item).
    Treasure Hunt will automatically update when you receive the main reward. In other cases Treasure Hunt will update weekly, as usual.
    You can now change the main reward for another reward of the same tier. The cost is 1 stash map or 100 gold.
    You can change (increase of decrease) trophies tier in Treasure Hunt, but it cannot exceed the maximum reputation level of your character. The cost of each change is 1 stash map or 100 gold. Trophy tier will be changed forever.

Big Fixes

    M4A1: removed weapon shaking when firing.
    H&K 416A5: removed weapon shaking when firing.
    Fixed an issue allowing to simultaniously install two C-4 explosives.
    Fixed a situation when the game client might crash when changing a character's name.

Survarium 0.47a2 PTS Change Log

Gameplay

    Added new intoductory mission for new players. Existing players can access the mission from the Play menu. Please choose "Tutorial" to play the mission.

Weapons, Equipment, and Special Items

    Decreased time required to holster and ready a weapon when using special items. This time depends on the weapon you use.
    The Renaissance Army Medkit: damage resistance decreased from 20% to 15%, resistance duration increased from 2 to 7 sec.
    Painkillers: damage resistance decreased from 33% to 25%, resistance duration increased from 3 to 7 sec.
    Time before the regenarion starts increased from 5 to 7 sec.

Premium-account and Equipment Profiles

    Premium-account no longer provides additional equipment profiles.
    Premium-account now increases spare parts gain by 50%.
    Premium-account now also provies +50% to silver gain for the rewards (medals).
    You can buy the second equipment profile for 200,000 silver. After that it is your forever.
    You can buy the third equipment profile for 500,000 silver. After that it is your forever.

Bug Fixes

    Fixed a situation when the game client might crash when changing a character's name.

Survarium 0.47a1 PTS Change Log

Gameplay

    Added animations when using medkits, bandages and antitoxin. During these animations you cannot perform other actions. The animations are not final and will be improved.
    You can now swap weapons right after making a shot.

Locations

    Added one new variation of Cologne Bridge.

Weapons, Equipment, and Special Items

    Recoil of tier 2weapons increased by 10%.
    Recoil of tier 3weapons increased by 15%.
    Recoil of tier 4weapons increased by 20%.
    Recoil of tier 5weapons increased by 25%.
    9A-91: damage decreased from 37 to 36.
    AS Val: damage increased from 28 to 30.
    SKS: damage decreased from 65 to 60.
    KS-23M: distance decreased from 15 to 10, damage on max distance increased from 30% to 50%. Cartridge load time increased from 1.1 to 1.3 sec.

Boosters

    Now you can use up to 3 boosters at any given time.
    Prices of boosters were changed. Now they depend on the match tier (character equipment) and number of active boosters.
    Tornado Energy Drink: increases run speed by 5%, but no longer increases stamina (energy).
    Anomalous Force Protein: now increases maximum stamina (energy) by 25%. This booster is not available on the PTS for now.
    Rations: bonus to HP regenarion increased from 1 to 2 points per second.
    Radio: bonus to resurrection speed increased from 15% to 30%.
    Motherwart extract: now provides 30% protection from fractures.
    Artifact-master: now increases artifacts' passive effects by 30%.

Treasure Hunt

    You will no longer get equipment you already have as a potential reward (if you have all equipment of your current tier, you will get a random item).
    Treasure Hunt will automatically update when you receive the main reward. In other cases Treasure Hunt will update weekly, as usual.
    You can now change the main reward for another reward of the same tier. The cost is 1 stash map or 100 gold.
    You can change (increase of decrease) trophies tier in Treasure Hunt, but tier cannot exceed the maximum reputation level of your character. The cost of each change is 1 stash map or 100 gold. Trophy tier will be changed forever.

Bug Fixes

    Fixed first cartridge loading when fully reloading KS-23M.
    Fixed an issue allowing to simultaniously install two C-4 explosives.

Update 0.47 Preview

Over two months passed since the release of Survarum Update 0.46, and it’s time to tell you about the new features soon to be introduced into the game. Update 0.47 is just around the corner, and today we talk about the key changes the Survarium team is preparing for you.

Story-driven Tutorial Mission

We continue to improve the first steps of the newcomers and for this created a brand new tutorial mission explaining basics of the game. The mission has a location made from scratch, including new anomalous trees, buildings, and landscape. Hopefully this mission will be interesting not only to the new players, but for Survarium veterans as well. The mission will be available to all players from the menu.

Game Mode: Slaughter

For the fans of action-packed battles we are introducing a new experimental game mode called Slaughter. The idea is simple: fight as a pit lion and kill as many opponents as possible in the given time. You will battle on the smaller maps (we use current Survarium locations, but only parts of those are available in this mode) in team deathmatch mode, so expect to see maximum action and a lot of kills per minute.

New Weapons

Survarium Update 0.47 introduces a new tier 5 shotgun KS-23 which is available as a trophy in Treasure Hunt. There are two versions of KS-23, using slugs and shells respectively.

We are also adding a rare PPSh with a drum magazine (unlike its unique V-E Day counterpart, this one won’t have a special red camo). As usual, you can weapons in the Shooting Range (option available from the weapon context menu in the shop if you don’t own a weapon) and decide which ones you like better.

Changes to the Equipment Profiles

Since Survarium Update 0.46 release equipment profiles were one of the hottest topics on Survarium forums and social network pages. The polls we conducted and your numerous messages indicate that we do need to change the system further, and we are happy to do that in Survarium Update 0.47.

By default all players, even the ones with the Premium Account, will have only one equipment profiles. Up to two additional profiles can be bought using silver, and the profiles you buy are yours forever!

To compensate for the equipment profiles, we will be adding a new bonus for the Premium, increasing a number of spare parts you receive after matches. Moreover, current Premium Account bonus to silver will affect all battle rewards, including medals.

More Maps Variations

After the introduction of maps variations into the game we received a lot of positive feeback from you, so we continue to move in that direction. Expect to see five more variations of the maps in Survarium Update 0.47. two variations of Chemical Plant, two – of Vostok Radar Station, and another one of Cologne Bridge. Thanks to a large variety of locations the game will be more unpredictable, and you will be able to come up with new tactical choices depending on the variant of the location.



Animation of Special Items

For a long time Survarium did not have animation characters using medkits, bandages, and other special items. Not only that made gameplay less realistic, it also was confusing for the players who couldn’t understand why the opponent doesn't die after taking a lot of damage.

Finally, Survarium Update 0.47 will make situation like this more clear: the game will have animations of characters using bandages, medkits and antitoxins. But keep in mind: you won’t be able to shoot during the special item animation, so you need to find a right moment to patch yourself up in a battle. These are only the first steps in this direction: we plan to add more animations of special items in the future.

Aside from the changes mentioned above, Survarium Update 0.47 will have more other improvements including weapons rebalancing, new booster mechanics, and other interesting features. Stay tuned for more news about the test version of Survarium 0.47 on the PTS!

Victory Day in Survarium

Celebrate Victory in Europe Day with other survivors and participate in the game event! Complete missions from May 8 to May 18 and receive special event currency: helmets, flasks and flags. Gather enough of these and exchange them for unique rewards!

You can exchange the event currency for "May 8" and "Year 1945" decals, and also PPSh-41 "Star" with a drum magazine that hold 71 cartridges! USe both event decals on your equipment to receive a set bonus additionaly increasing experience and reputation your character earns in matches. Naturally, you will keep the decals and PPSh-41 "Star" you get during the event. And when the event ends players will no longer be able to receive these rewards.

For the first victory in a match during the event you will also receive "For Victory" medal decal. Equip it to increase the amount of currency you receive for completing missions. The medal provides a +2 bonus to each of the currencies.

Gameplay

    Duration of the slow down from weapon stopping power increased by 50%.
    Faction reputation you receive in matches increased by 2.5.
    Changed the way bleeding resistance works: it is now additive, not multiplicative. That means that it is not substracted from the bleed chance, but multiplied by it. For instance, if the bleeding chance is 60% and the resistance is 50%, the resulting bleeding chance used to be 60% - 50% = 10%. Now it will be 60% x 50% = 30%.
    Anomalous Power booster is removed from the game. All players who had the booster(s) received a compensation equal to the cost of the booster(s) they had.

Equipment and Weapons

    PKP "Pecheneg": damage decreased from 37 to 35, effective distance decreased from 35 to 30, recoil increased by 10%.

Technical Changes

    Added a new message when you try to reset password from the game (during login).

Bug Fixes

    Fixed issues causing desynchronization.
    Fixed issues causing the game client crashes.
    Fixed an issue when you could take two main weapons even without "Terminator" skill.
    Fixed an issue when a main weapon had additional 50 ammo cartridges.
    Fixed an issue when a battery could spontaneously explode.
    Fixed an issue when a battery could fall under a location.
    Fixed an issue when the crosshair was moving up slower than in other directions when your character was holding up breath.

Gameplay

    Sponge artefact reworked: damage zone after the artefact explosion ignores all character resistances.
    "Deft hands" ability changed: weapon swap speed modifier decreased from 20% to 10%.
    All character skill points were reset. Don't forget to redistribute them!
    Characters can no longer hold breath when aiming down the sights and moving.

Equipment, Weapons and Special Items

    Weapon swap speed modifiers (bonuses of equipment sets) decreased from 40% to 30% and from 50% to 35%.
    Mosin rifle: now has x3.5 scope by default.

Technical Changes

    Changed the way hit marks (crosses) work. Partial red cross is displayed when you kill an enemy locally (i.e. on your game client), and full red cross is displayed when your game client receives confirmation from the server.
    Improved the way the game works when your client loses connection for 100-200 ms.

Bug Fixes

    Fixed an issue when the players could use fast zooming.
    Fixed an issue when a sitting character stood up after a shot from a carbine or a sniper rifle if sprint/hold breath button was pressed down.
    Fixed situation when hit marks (crosses) were incorrectly shown when dealing damage.
    Fixed an issue when a message about character leveling up was not displayed.
    Idle timer starts only when the player character joins a match.

    Now the game saves user data to AppData/Local, and not in My Documents. This should improve your connection to the server in case you use OneDrive or other cloud services to synchronize your documents.

    First three bullets recoil modifier is now displayed correctly.
    Fixed issues causing resynchs.

Gameplay

    Implemented new game mechanics: crosshair twitching when your character is hit. Thus, snipers will have a harder time hitting you if you hit them first.

Game Locations

    Characters will now receive damage when falling down into the pit (reactor) on the Vector Laboratory location. You can now climb out from the pit.
    Several zones on Mamayev Kurgan and Vector Laboratory will now deal damage to batteries and Glow of the Forest artifact.
    The following locations now have additional supply boxes: Vostok Base, Chemical Plant, Tarakanovsky Fort, Vector Laboratory, Cologne Bridge.

Equipment, Weapons and Supplies

    Changed the parameter of the sniper stock: aim time decreased from +20% to +10%.
    VSS Vintorez: speed slow decreased from 15% to 10%.
    Colt Python: draw time is now 0.25 sec (used to be 0.4 sec), holster time is now 0.3 sec (used to be 0.4 sec).

    FN SCAR-H: recoil of the first 3 bullets is now easier to control.
    VSK-94 Guardian: damage increased from 27 to 28, penetration also increased.
    FN Minimi: recoil increased by 10%, damage decreased from 32 to 30, effective distance decreased from 45 to 40.
    PKP Pecheneg: damage increased from 36 to 37.

Bug Fixes

    Fixed bonuses of the Sniper and Pathfinder sets.
    Fixed an UI issue causing bad game performance in the lobby.

The Complete List of Changes in Survarium Update 0.46

Gameplay

    Updated penetration parameters of different objects and materials, pemetration mechanic was reworked.
    Headshot damage modifier increased from 250% to 300%.
    Damage modifier when hitting a hip increased from 80% to 100%. Leg (below the knee) damage remains the same.
    Only one equipment profile is available by default. Premium account unlocks two more profiles.
    Stationary supply boxes now have a cooldown. You can use the box every 120 seconds. Resupply time is now 1.5 seconds.
    Frenzy bonus decreased from 25% to 15%.
    Base character movement speed increased by 10%.
    Maximum possible character speed is now 130% of the base speed.
    Bots' behaviour during firefights was improved.
    All characters' abilities were reset. Don't forget to distribute the ability points!

Weapons, Equipment, and Special Items

    General Changes

      Number of equipment tiers decreased from 10 to 5.
      Parameters of weapons and equipment were changed correspondingly.
      "Weight" parameter has been replaced with "Speed". Weapons and equipment now reduce character speed by a certain percent.

    Weapon Mechanics Changes

      Every weapon now has its own recoil pattern with a small element of randomness.
      Dispersion when aiming down the sights is removed, dispersion when shooting from the hip is decreased.
      Shooting in short burst is now easier, especially when using an assault rifles.
      Shotguns no longer have slugs.
      Shotguns now have "Shot Grouping" parameter instead of "Accuracy". We have also removed random pellet dispersion. These changes should make hitting with a shotgun more predictable.
      Effective distance now means a maximum distance at which weapon inflicts maximum damage (previously it was distance after which weapon inflicted minimum damage). Because of this displayed effective distance is now generally lower. But in fact distance is now higher for many weapons.
      The majority of weapons now have two types of bullets: common and armor-piercing.
      Common bullets: effective distance and penetration are equal to the weapon's base stats.
      Armor-piercing bullets increase penetration but decrease effective distance by 10%.
      Weapons now have "Stopping Power" parameter. The bigger it is, the more a character is slowed down when hit from that weapon.
      Pistols don't belong to a certain faction now. You get access to all pistols of certain tier by reaching that tier in any faction.
      Pistols now have a separate ammo count and don't substract ammo for your main weapon. This allows you to equip a pistol and ammo for it and have maximum amount of ammunition for your main weapon.
      All pistols are now drawn faster.
      All sniper rifles now have "Bleed Chance" parameter which is displayed in percentage.
      Bleeding inflicts 50 damage over 5 seconds. Bleeding starts in 1 second after a character was hit.
      New weapon type: carbines. Several rifles that used to belong to sniper rifles category are now considered carbines.
      Parameters of all weapons were changed accordingly to the new weapon mechanics.

    Armor Parameters Changes

      Armor now has 3 types: light, medium and heavy.
      The heavier armor is, the more it decreases incoming damage and character speed.
      Armor now has an additional tip. It shows (in percentage) decrease of incoming damage from a weapon of similar tier, lower tier and higher tier.
      Armor sets are now available: the more pieces of the same set you have, the more bonuses you get. Sets provide up to 3 bonuses (for equipping 2, 3/4, and 5/6 set items).

    Special Items

      Base number of slots for supplies decreased from 2 to 1.
      Base number of slots for medkits increased from 1 to 2.
      Every faction now has a medkit with a unique effect.
      The Renaissance Army Medkit temporarily reduces incoming damage and restores HP.
      Scavengers Medkit restores a lot of HP.
      The Fringe Settlers Medkit stops bleeding, then restores HP.
      The Black Market Medkit heals fractures, then restores HP.
      Traps now always break legs.
      Smoke grenade now belongs to advanced special items, not explosives.
      The totem no longer heals, now it reduces incoming damage around itself. Renamed to "Defense totem".

Game Modes and Locations

    Game locations

      Added new variations of the existing game locations: School, Rudnya, Mamayev Kurgan, London.
      Whenever there's a match on one of those maps, one of the variations is selected.
      Added a new location "Shooting Ground" where you can test weapons. You can get there via the weapon context menu in the "Shop" tab.

    Final Round in Artifact Hunt

      Final round starts if both teams have equal score when the match ends (15 mins pass). The final round lasts additional 3 minutes.
      You can't resurrect in the final round. The team which delivers the artifact or kills more enemies wins.
      If the final round ends in a tie, both teams lose.

    Changing Batteries in "Battery Retrieval"

      A battery is considered lost if it's not in the spawn point, in the base or in the character's hands.
      A lost battery gradually loses durability. It loses 100% in 45 seconds.
      Upon reaching 0% battery explodes and deals damage to everything around it.
      Battery makes a specific sound before exploding.
      Battery explosion creates explosion particles and also makes a sound.
      Battery cannot be damaged by firearms.
      When a battery falls it also receives damage depending on the fall height.
      Batteries immediately explode when falling down from a location.
      Destroyed batteries respawn in 30 seconds.

    User Interface

      Reworked UI of the Main Menu, Shop, Workshop and Equipment.
      Parameters in armor tooltips are now shown rounded to one digit after decimal point (used to be two digits).
      Equipment now has new "Explosion damage reduction" parameter.
      Added indicators of damage and anomaly protection.

    Technical Changes

      Fps (frames per second) now does not depend on the player's ping.
      Introduced pixel correct camera position when shooting. You can now "lead" a character always hitting him (if the distance and the bullet speed allow to do that).

    Bug Fixes

      Fixed issues leading to resyncronization.

    New location – Shooting Ground where you can test weapons. You can get to the location via the weapon context menu in "Equipment" and "Shop" tabs.
    Bots' profiles in matches now correspond to the levels of the players' characters. Bots' behaviour during firefights was improved.

    Speed slow on medium armor was reduced by 25%. Now full medium armor set reduces speed by 12% (used to be 16%).
    Stationary supply boxes now have a cooldown. You can use a box every 120 seconds. Resupply time is 1.5 seconds.

    SR-2M: damage reduced from 32 to 30.

Survarium 0.46a4 PTS Change Log

Gameplay

    Upon reaching effective distance weapon damage now decreases linearly (it used to drop immediately).
    At long ranges weapon damage decreases up to 50% of maximum (used to be 40%).
    Shooting in short bursts is now easier.
    Now both equipped weapons decrease run spead (regardless of which weapon your character are holding).
    Frenzy bonus decreased from 25% to 15%.

Equipment and Weapons

    Bleeding starts in 0.5 sec after the character was hit (used to be 1 sec).
    Bleeding is active for 5 sec (down from 10 sec), but deals damage two times faster. Thus, total damage was unchanged.

Update 0.46 is on the PTS!

We're glad to announce that the Public Test Server with Survarium update 0.46 is live! To participate in the test, please download new game version or update Survarium PTS ver. 0.45. Please note that the temporary shutdowns of the PTS are possible when installing updates and making urgent changes.

You can participate in the test if you registered in Survarium no later than March 8. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to login to the PTS if you have registered via Steam due to a different authentication system.

All testers will receive 10 thousand spare parts, 10 million silver, and 10 thousand gold to make purchases on the PTS. Characters and progress in the main game as of March 8 will be copied to the test server. However, the progress you make during the test will not be transferred back to the main server! The PTS has no way if receiving payments, so purchases made in Survarium shop are automatically credited to your account on the main server.

Read find the update notes of Survarium PTS 0.46 below. Please note that those are not final and The public server will receive version improved based on the results of the testing! See you on the PTS!

Important: in order to test all the weapons and armor, we will be unlocking equipment tiers on the PTS over time. Initially only tier 1 will be available with other tiers coming later.

Gameplay

    Updated penetration parameters of different objects and materials.
    Headshot damage increased from 250% to 300%.
    Only one equipment profile is available by default. Premium account unlocks two more profiles.
    Ammunition resupply time from a box was halved: down from 3 sec to 1.5 sec.

Weapons and Equipment

General Changes

    Number of equipment tiers decreased from 10 to 5.
    Parameters of weapons and equipment were changed correspondingly.
    "Weight" parameter has been replaced with "Speed". Weapons and equipment now reduce character speed by a certain percent.

Weapon Parameters Changes

    "Dispersion" has been replaced with "Recoil": each weapons has its own recoil pattern.
    Effective distance now means a maximum distance at which weapon inflicts maximum damage (previously it was distance after which weapon inflicted minimum damage).
    This is why displayed effective distance is now generally lower. But in fact distance is now higher for many weapons.
    The majority of weapons now have two types of bullets: common and armor-piercing.
    Common bullets: distance equals to weapon base distance, penetration equals to weapon base damage.
    Armor-piercing bullets increase penetration but decrease weapon distance by 10%.
    Pistols don't belong to a certain faction now. You get access to all pistols of certain tier by reaching that tier in any faction.
    Pistols now have a separate ammo count and don't subtract ammo for your main weapon.
    Switching to a pistol from another weapon is now faster.
    This allows you to equip a pistol and ammo for it and have maximum amount of ammunition for your main weapon.
    All sniper rifles now have "Bleed Chance" parameter which is displayed in percentage.
    Upon receiving "Bleeding" effect the character loses 4 hit points per second during 10 seconds (so 40 in total unless he stops the bleeding).
    Shotguns no longer have slugs.
    Shotguns now have "Shot Grouping" parameter instead of "Accuracy". We have also removed random pellet dispersion. These changes should make hitting with a shotgun more predictable.зуемыми.
    Grouping when firing from the hip is lower when firing in iron sights.
    New weapon type: carbines. Several rifles that used to belong to sniper rifles category are now considered carbines.
    Winchester 1894 was removed from the game.

Armor Parameters Changes

    Armor now has 3 types: light, medium and heavy.
    The heavier armor is, the more it decreases incoming damage and character speed.
    Armor now has an additional tip. It shows (in percentage) decrease of incoming damage from a weapon of similar tier, lower tier and higher tier.
    Armor sets are now available. Each two items from a set provide a bonus. You can get up to 3 bonuses (by getting 2, 4, and 6 set items).

Special Items

    Every faction now has a medkit with a unique effect.
    The Renaissance Army Medkit temporarily reduces incoming damage and restores HP.
    Scavengers Medkit restores a lot of HP.
    The Fringe Settlers Medkit stops bleeding, then restores HP.
    The Black Market Medkit heals fractures, then restores HP.
    Trap now always breaks legs.
    Smoke grenade now belongs to advanced special items, not explosives.

Update 0.46 Preview

In Survarium Update 0.46 you can expect the first part of the game changes announced earlier. Read on to find out the key innovations arriving to the game soon!

Reduction of tiers of weapons and gear

In order to speed up the matchmaking, in the coming update we will reduce the total number of tiers for weapons and gear from 10 to 5. This decision will also allow us to diversify the assortment of each faction within one level. As for the items you already own, the current levels of weapons and gear will be proportionally preserved and adapted in line with the new system.

Gear system redesign

In Survarium Update 0.46 we will introduce a more transparent and structured system of gear. All the armor in the game will be split to three classes: light, medium and heavy. New "protection against explosion" parameter will be added to the armor, while the weight of the equipment and weapons will directly impact the speed of your character’s movement.

Additionally, we have implemented the notion of equipment sets: the more items from one set you put on the character, the more bonuses you get. Various sets provide different bonuses, so you can experiment with the gear.

Changes in weapons settings

Weapons in the game get a bunch of new characteristics: piercing of materials, chance of bleeding, stopping power, running speed, speed of running in aim, accuracy from the hip, recoil of first shots. Moreover, the set of characteristics for weapons of various classes can differ. For example, the chance of bleeding will be characteristic for sniper rifles only. As for piercing of materials, we will introduce the new formula of calculations. Thus, for instance, the armor-piercing bullets will now reduce the effective distance, but increase the piercing of materials.

Another innovation towards the recoil parameter: now every weapon in-game will have its own characteristic profile of recoil when shooting. The automatic weapons will also get an additional parameter of recoil for the first bullets: they will fly predictably, which will allow the players to use adjustment fire. To avoid use of macros, the recoil profile will always have an element of randomization. Therefore, the scatter parameter will be completely removed from the game: now the bullet flies exactly where your sight is looking, the weapon dispersion is brought in line with the real counterparts.

Such approach will allow us to ensure the behavior of each weapon in-game is truly unique and will let the players pick a weapon most fitting their style of play.

Changes to the In-game supplies

For all the grenades we will considerably increase the parameter of piercing obstacles and chance of breaking the character's limbs. We will add two new medkits, the current ones will undergo changes. Anesthetic is going to become a supply too. The healing totem will yield protection from damage, while traps will always break legs. The tiers of multiple supplies and their parent factions have been overhauled.

New FOV for weapons

We are redesigning the field of view (FOV) for weapons to make the feel of using weapons in the game more realistic and comfortable. See the current and new weapons FOV compared on the screenshot below.

New game maps variations

In the Survarium 0.46 update the already known game maps will receive a few new modifications. Thus, a traditional passage in the corridor may now be inaccessible, while an anomalous tree can replace the usual rusty car in the hub of the map. Such changes on the maps are designed to diversify the game tactics and add more unpredictability to the game. On top of the standard version each map is planned to have 3-4 modifications. Please see an example of this on the coub below.



One more map-related change is about the ammo refill crates. We will introduce 1-2 additional ammo crates on each map. This will free up the need to return to the base: if you run out of ammo in the heat of the moment, just find the crate nearest to you and refill your stock. The time to use the crate and resupply has been halved. To prevent any abuse, once utilized, a cooldown timer will start. Until that cooldown is over, you’ll be unable to refill ammo.

Start of public testing

We have already been testing the changes to the game modes on PTS and will be updating the test server as other changes get added to the test build of Survarium. Soon all the innovations mentioned above will be available to test on the PTS server. Stay tuned for more news coming!

New weapon FOV on the PTS!

    The players get points basing on the distance they carried the artifact, and additional points for delivering the artifact to the base. Thus you will get maximum points if you deliver the artifact all by yourself. If several players worked together to deliver the artifact, each of them gets corresponding amount of points.

    Changed field of view (FOV) for all weapons.

Technical Changes

    High delay should no longer cause fps drops.
    Also fixed situations when a character could die and resurrect (or his HP changed) during a shootout.

Changing Batteries in "Battery Retrieval"

    A battery is considered lost if it's not in the spawn point, in the base or in the character's hands.
    Lost batteries gradually lose "health". It loses 100% in 45 seconds.
    Upon reaching 0% battery explodes and deals damage to everything around it: characters, devices, other batteries.
    Battery makes a specific sound before exploding.
    Battery explosion creates explosion particles and also makes a sound.
    Battery can be damaged by grenades, bullets and by other exploding batteries.
    When a battery falls it also receives damage depending on the fall height.
    Batteries immediately explode when falling down from a location.
    Destroyed batteries respawn in 30 seconds.

Friday the 13th in Survarium

People believe that Friday the 13th brings bad luck. But not in Survarium: during the next couple days you can buy a special decal which looks like a hockey mask and allows you to get additional 13 spare parts for each victory! However, keep in mind that the decal’s bonus is valid only for 13 days, until January the 25th. And the decal itself is available for purchase for the next 3 days only!

You can buy the decal in the game for 100 thousand silver (the list of decals in available from the workshop when you modify jackets or pants) or in the webshop. There are also special offers in the shop during the next 3 days!

Hurry up and check out those deals while superstitious Survarium traders are more generous on the day of terror!

Holiday Season Event in Survarium

    The event is over, but during the week (until January 17) you can exchange the currency for the unique holiday weapons. If needed, you can purchase additional currency in the game or in Survarium web shop.

Equipment and Weapons

    Colt M1911 and Colt M1911 "Russian Contract" pistols now use .45ACP ammo.

Bug Fixes

    Fixed synchronization on the server side.
    Fixed synchronization on the client side.
    Fixed an issue with the incorrect string placement in the mission window.
    Fixed timers in the game events UI.
    Fixed various localization issues.

Equipment and Weapons

    Introduced Colt M1911: damage is 55, armor-piercing is 35, rate of fire is 300. As other pistols, has a +10% bonus to experience. Available on the 6th tier equipment of Black Market faction.

Bug Fixes

    Fixed issues leading to the client crashes.
    Now unique Colt M1911 "Russian Contract" is correcty awarded for 15 daily logins.
    Players who already received a reward for 15 daily logins will also get Colt M1911 "Russian Contract".
