Participate in Christmas Raid event in Survarium!

Log in to Survarium during the Holiday Season and receive a unique camo and a fire monkey decal! Participate in the matches, find Christmas toys and exchange them for bags with presents. The bags contain silver, various consumables, and blueprints of seasonal weapons. Gather blueprints to get unique UMP-45, SVD and ASh-12!

During the event you will get 2-4 (3-5 with a Premium account) Christmas toys at the end of each match. The color of toys depends on the level of equipment of your character:

    Green toys: levels 1-4
    Blue toys: levels 5-7
    Red toys: levels 8-10

Also when ransacking stashes after a match you can find a box of 10 toys of the corresponding color. 15 toys of the same color can be exchanged for a bag of the same color (green, blue or red). From the bags you can get 1 or 2 blueprints of seasonal weapons, and also silver and various consumables.

Blueprints are used to create the following weapons:

    Redeem 25 green blueprints to get Christmas UMP-45 Xmas 16
    Redeem 25 blue blueprints to get Christmas SVD Xmas 16
    Redeem 25 red blueprints to get Christmas ASh-12 Xmas 16

Relocating Survarium Servers

Due to the frequent DDoS attacks on the Survarium servers in the last few days, we have made a (forced) decision to move all the major game servers to another data center which is more protected against such attacks. Unfortunately, moving the servers will take some time. We will let you know when the game is back online!

Forums and registration/authorization on the website are currently also unavailable.

We will do our best to restore the functionality of the game servers as soon as possible. All the news will be reported on the website and in our groups in social media:

The duration of the premium accounts and the events will be extended correspondingly. Also note that after the servers have been moved the gameplay experience will not be affected.

Gameplay

Introduced the Christmas Raid game event. Log in to Survarium during the event to receive a unique camo and a decal with a Christmas theme. A Christmas tree and a symbol of year 2016, a fire monkey, have been added to the lobby. During the event you will get 2-4 (3-5 with a Premium account) Christmas toys at the end of each match.

The color of toys depends on the level of equipment of your character:

    Green toys: levels 1-4
    Blue toys: levels 5-7
    Red toys: levels 8-10

Also when ransacking stashes after a match you can find a box of 10 toys of the corresponding color. 15 toys of the same color can be exchanged for a bag of the same color (green, blue or red). From the bags you can get 1 or 2 blueprints of seasonal weapons, and also silver and various consumables.

    To fully learn all skills of the same type now requires 40 skill points
    On the 5th tier of each skill group there is only one ultimate skill left

Firearms Training

    Trigger discipline: the value increased to 10% per skill level (from 4%), the maximum level reduced to 2 (from 3)
    Equanimity: the value increased to 25% per skill level (from 10%), the maximum level reduced to 3 (from 5)
    Deft Hands: the value increased to 10% per skill level (from 7.5%)
    Iron Lungs: the value increased to 25% per skill level (from 15%), the maximum level reduced to 2 (from 3)
    Accuracy: the value reduced to 3% per skill level (from 4%), the maximum level increased to 5 (from 3)
    Strong Grip: the value increased to 5% per skill level (from 4%)
    Reloading: the value increased to 10% per skill level (from 4%), the maximum level reduced to 2 (from 3)
    Steady Breath: new skill of the 4th tier of Firearms training. Each skill level reduces the weapon sway when aiming by 2%, 5 skill levels in total
    Ammunition: skill removed

Physical Training

    Endurance: skill moved to the 3rd tier. Its effect has changed: now the skill reduces the effect of weight on stamina consumption (10% per skill level, 3 skill levels in total)
    Stayer: new skill of the 1st tier of Physical training. Increases the maximum amount of stamina (5% per skill level, 5 skill levels in total)
    Sledgehammer: previously inactive skill, now removed
    Rapid: skill moved to the 4th tier
    Packrat: the effect of weight on movement speed per skill level reduced to 10% (from 3%). The maximum level reduced to 3 (from 5)
    Mobility: new skill of the 3rd tier of Physical training. Increases movement speed when crouching (5% per skill level, 2 skill levels in total)
    Jump with a knife: previously inactive skill, now removed
    Second Wind: skill moved to the 2nd tier. Each skill level restores 50% of stamina when killing an enemy (from 10%)
    Unstoppable: effect changed. Now skill reduces slowdown when getting hit (5% per skill level, 5 skill levels in total)
    Frenzy: new skill of the 5th tier of Physical training. Reduces incoming damage from firearms when sprinting by 25%
    Heavyweight: skill removed
    Sprint: skill removed

Knowledge of the Forest

    Artifacts Power: the maximum skill level increased to 5 (from 3)
    Forest Protection: the value increased to 10% per skill level (from 3%), the maximum level reduced to 3 (from 5)
    Mercy of the Forest: the value increased to 10% per skill level (from 1% and 10% for 1 and 2 levels, respectively)
    Forest Sense: effect changed. Now the skill allows you to see on the mini-map all the anomalies in a 150m radius

Update 0.34 is on the PTS!

We're glad to announce that the Public Test Server with Survarium update 0.34 is live! To participate in the test, please download new game version. You can install the PTS version simultaneously with Survarium version 0.33. Please note that the PTS will only be available during work hours on weekdays. Also temporary shutdowns are possible when installing updates and making urgent changes.

You can participate in the test if you registered on Survarium website no later than December 17. The Public Test Server is located in CIS, so players from Americas and Europe will have a higher ping compared to public version of the game. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to login to the PTS if you have registered via Steam due to a different authentication system. You can still play on public server after Survarium 0.34 release!

All testers will receive a million silver and ten thousand gold to make purchases on the PTS. All ranks with all Survarium factions will be unlocked so you can buy any weapons and equipment you want. Characters and progress in the main game as of November 24 will be copied to the test server. However, the progress you make during the test will not be transferred back to the main server! The PTS has no way if receiving payments, so purchases made in Survarium shop are automatically credited to your account on the main server.

Read the update notes of Survarium 0.34 below. Please note that those are not final. The public server will receive version improved based on the results of the testing! See you on the PTS!

Read an Interview with 3D-Artist of Survarium

Why did you decide to become a 3D Artist?

For me 3D graphics is a tool with which I can visualize any idea and make it very realistic. I have a lot of fun working with it!

How long have you been working at Vostok Games? How did you end up in the team?

I’ve been working here for three years. It was as follows: three years ago, at 7 AM I had finished my portfolio and sent it to Vostok Games. Before going to bed, I instructed my friend to carefully monitor my e-mail and if there was a reply to immediately wake me up with a phone call. And so it happened.

Do you use any special techniques to make your work on a 3D model easier?

When new tools or software is released I try to apply it to the process (if I have time for it) and sometimes these things become indispensable! Undoubtedly, previous experience helps. However, there are situations when I confront a certain task for the first time – then I try to skim through it with several available methods, and thus, looking ahead, to understand what result can be expected.

When you create a model what things are more difficult than others?

The ones that are the most time consuming but at the same time are the enjoyable stages are sculpting and texturing. The rest (retopology, unwrapping, baking maps) is a more technical routine.

Do you have a favorite character you created in Survarium?

At first it seems that every new character I’ve created is my favorite, but that’s not exactly true as there’s cool stuff from the old days. In my new project on artstation.com I created a character with my favorite outfit!



What is the process of creating a character face for Survarium? Tell us more about the stages of it.

We’ve been using our colleagues as models for Survarium lately. Under the pretext of a photo shoot we trap them in a meeting room. Using the obtained pictures I do the sculpting and then these images are used as textures. Next, I create a low poly model and bake maps for it. Somewhere around this stage I stop staring at people and blackmail them to re-shoot.

Next, I make final additions to the texture, adding various details, and proceed to the hairstyle. To conclude the process I make several variations of the head, adapting it for helmets and masks so that, god forbid, there’s no any visual glitches.

What advice would you give to aspiring artists?

Get a guide dog (just kidding). Watch and analyze other people's cool work, be inspired by them, learn the ways they work, notice mistakes and try to do no worse or even better. Absorb tutorials like a sponge. Get a peek at the anatomy. Bring your best works to a final completion and use them as a portfolio.

The work of a character artist is quite laborious. It requires perseverance and attention to details. I owe a lot to this quality of mine. To achieve success you need to enjoy this job.

Update 0.34 Preview

A week has passed after the release of the latest Survarium update, and our development team has prepared a new surprise for you! It is not a huge update considering the number of changes, but it contains a number of important innovations. We hope you’ll like it.

Holiday Season Celebration!

The magical time of the winter holidays is near, and traditionally we have prepared some surprises for you!

Log in to Survarium during the holiday season to get a unique winter camo and the fire monkey decal. New players will get a more festive outfit instead of the usual blue pants and a knitted sweater.

In addition, during the holidays you will get Christmas-tree toys for participation in battles. Collect enough toys and exchange them for gift bags. The bags contain a lot of useful items, including weapon blueprints with unique Holiday camouflage. Collect enough blueprints to exchange them for unique UMP-45, SVD or ASh-12!

New Network Synchronization

In Survarium update 0.34 we are changing the approach to network synchronization. From the moment we started working on Survarium we thought that to ensure synchronization the computers of all players must calculate and visualize the data in the same way. This led to the fact that positions of the characters of other players, on the screen of each player, were extrapolated based on the current data of the game.

So when a player changes the input, your client learns of this later (as all the data from another player's client has reached your client after going through the server). Most importantly, this data changes the game world we have already visualized for you. As a result, the next frame you see may differ significantly from the previous one. Thus, the transitions between the animations of other players were "eaten up" for the period of time equal to the ping of the client to the server.

In update 0.34 we will display the position of the characters of other players with a delay of 150ms (the amount may change during the public testing). Because of that you will see characters not where they are at the moment, but where they were 150ms before that. Of course, the hits and damage are also registered according to the positions of the characters 150ms in the past.

For clients with a ping lower than 100ms and ping jumps of less than 50ms it gives the opportunity to always properly interpolate the movements of the characters during rendering. Extrapolation will still be used for other clients but its value will also be less by 100ms. Thus, you will see improvements regardless of your ping. If your ping is less than 100ms, you will not see the characters of other players teleporting.

Some specific "time artifacts" are possible in the new scheme:

    Kills from around the corner. This effect can occur when your character has already ran behind around the corner, but for the enemy he is still 150ms in the past. If the enemy kills your character, the kill will be counted.
    Active players have the advantage. If you run from behind a corner, the opponent will see you 150ms later. If the enemy stays still you have an advantage of 150ms to end a duel in your favor.
    Equal opportunities for players with the ping of up to 100ms and the maximum ping jumps up to 50ms. Players with ~15ms pings will not have any advantages over players with ~90ms pings. But if your ping is more than 100ms or there might be a sudden ping spike, you'll notice other players' characters teleporting, but desync will be less for 100ms. If your ping is fine but other players have problems with their connections, you won't notice anything. For you everything will be rendered smoothly and uninterrupted.

Changes in the Character’s Skills

In Survarium update 0.34 we will make several changes to the characters’ skills to balance them both in number and usefulness. First of all, we decided to discard one of two final skills. Now each set of skills will have only one ultimate skill that will give a significant advantage.

For Firearms training this skill is Terminator, which gives the ability to equip two primary weapons. For Physical training it is Frenzy. It gives the character 25% protection from bullets while sprinting. The Forest Sense skill allows you to see the location and type of all anomalies on the map.

In addition, we've added several new skills which have replaced previously inactive ones. In Firearms training we have a Steady Breath skill, which reduces the crosshair sway for sniper rifles.

Physical training has undergone more extensive changes. The Endurance skill now reduces the impact of equipment weight on energy consumption. The new Stayer skill increases maximum stamina of the character. Mobility skill allows you to increase movement speed while crouching, and the Unstoppable skill reduces the slowdown effect from being hit.

We have also removed from the game all skills adding ammo pouches, pockets for supplies and artifact containers. Now these parameters can only be obtained with the help of equipment items.

The Public Test Server launch date will be announced later. Stay tuned!

The Complete List of Changes in Survarium 0.33

Gameplay

Pockets for supplies have been substantially redesigned. Now there are 3 types of pockets by default:

    For medicine
    For explosives (mines and grenades)
    For special supplies (radio, rations, artifact-master, protein, energy drink, motherwort extract)

By default, all pockets have 1 slot allowing you to take one bandage or one grenade. Some supplies (mines) require 2 slots and cannot be equipped by default. The pocket size can be increased with some equipment items.

    Pockets capacity parameter removed from the game
    Changed the types and amount of pockets for equipment. You will find a chart with the items' parameters below
    Added a new modifier called Explosion Protection. You can get it on body armor, pants and helmets. The maximum value of the modifier on one item is 5%. Also some items have explosion protection as an embedded modifier
    "Forest Sense" skill no longer displays artifacts of other characters
    "Deep Pockets" skill disabled
    "Artifact Container" skill disabled
    Reduced the amount of health restored by regeneration. The maximum modifier is now 1%
    By default all characters health is restored at the rate of 1% per second
    Now theres one second delay while using medical items
    Armor is now 1.5 times less effective in reducing explosive damage
    Mine deactivation time reduced to 2 seconds
    Larkspur: health regeneration upon the artifact activation increased to 50% per second
    Onyx: passive damage reduction increased to 7%, damage reduction upon the artifact activation reduced to 50%
    Added support for two new game events:
    Infinite Respect players might get 2X experience and reputation for victory in any mode.
    Treasures of the Old World players might receive the best possible reward when ransacking stashes.

Missions System Redesign

    Removed the time limit to finish missions
    After completing a mission with a gold medal the mission will be replaced by a new one after some time
    You can change one of your missions for free once per 24 hours
    When changing a faction, the mission progress is saved. Rewards for not completed stages are changed in accordance with your reputation in the current faction
    Premium account increases rewards for missions by 50%
    Increased reward for completing missions with a gold medal
    If you have reached the maximum reputation level with your current faction you will now receive silver for completing missions with a gold medal

User Interface

    Added a brief description of the collected artifacts when you press Tab in battle
    Changed notification when a battery is stolen or when it spawns on the map in Battery Retrieval mode

Optimization

    Added simplified models (LOD) of equipment to display at long distances. This will improve the performance of the game
    LOD for models of Scavengers equipment: levels 4, 5, 6, 9
    LOD for models of Black Market equipment: levels 4, 5, 6, 8, 9
    LOD for models of The Fringe Settlers equipment: levels 4, partly 5, 6, 8, 9
    LOD for models of The Renaissance Army equipment: levels 4, 5, 7, 9, 10

Visuals and Animations

    Updated UZI animations
    Updated anomaly animations
    Fixed anomalies position and position of artifacts in the anomalies
    Fixed the visuals of VSS and VSS Vintorez magazines for 20 rounds
    Improved lighting in several places of London, Rudnya, Tarakanovsky Fort, Chemical Plant and School locations
    Fixed position of the character's arms while holding machine pistols in the lobby. Now they don't go through the body
    Fixed reload animation of SKS

Sound Fixes

    Reduced the volume of steps when in first and third person. The range of audibility remains the same

Bug Fixes

    You can no longer install the game on drives with FAT32 file system (it was never supported in the first place)
    Fixed the calculation formula of armor penetration. Now when a bullet doesnt penetrate the armor, the minimum damage is lower
    Fixed trigger areas of PMN-3 and MON-50 mines
    Fixed an issue when wounded hands did not give penalty to accuracy
    Fixed an issue when a fracture of both hands did not block the use of two-handed weapons
    Fixed a desynchronization when watching replays of matches. Because of this, replays from the previous versions of the game are not supported in 0.33
    Fixed anomalies damage areas
    Fixed a bug which displayed incorrect (zero) level of equipment required to perform missions
    Fixed scrolling friends list with a mouse wheel

Changes in Ban System

Added intermediate account bans. The restrictions are the same as in the case of an ordinary ban, but the player receives a notification of a suspected violation of the rules. A detailed investigation is conducted by the games Customer Support for 3-7 days, and after that time a final decision is made. When the player tries to log into the game during the intermediate ban period, he or she receives a corresponding notification.

Survarium 0.33a2 PTS Change Log

Gameplay

Attention! Pockets for supplies have been substantially redesigned.
Now there are 3 types of pockets by default:

    For medicine
    For mines and grenades
    For special supplies (radio, rations, artifact-master, protein, energy drink, motherwort extract)

By default, all pockets have 1 slot allowing you to take one bandage or one grenade. Some supplies (mines, medkits) require 2 slots and cannot be equipped by default. The pocket size can be increased with some equipment items.

    "Forest Sense" skill no longer displays artifacts of other characters
    "Deep Pockets" skill disabled
    "Artifact Container" skill disabled
    All skills have been reset and skill points have been refunded
    Reduced the amount of health restored by regeneration. The maximum modifier is now 1%
    By default all characters’ health is restored at the rate of 1% per second
    Now there’s one second delay before you can use a medical item again

Equipment and Weapons

    Medkit: health restored increased to 80
    Military medkit: health restored increased to 100, duration reduced to 7 seconds
    Science medkit: health restored increased to 70, protection from anomalies increased to 50%

Update 0.33 is on the PTS!

We're glad to announce that the Public Test Server with Survarium update 0.33 is live! To participate in the test, please download new game version. You can install the PTS version simultaneously with Survarium version 0.32. Please note that the PTS will only be available during work hours on weekdays. Also temporary shutdowns are possible when installing updates and making urgent changes.

You can participate in the test if you registered on Survarium website no later than November 24.

The Public Test Server is located in CIS, so players from Americas and Europe will have a higher ping compared to public version of the game. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to login to the PTS if you have registered via Steam due to a different authentication system. You can still play on public server after Survarium 0.33 release!

All testers will receive a million silver and ten thousand gold to make purchases on the PTS. All ranks with all Survarium factions will be unlocked so you can buy any weapons and equipment you want. Characters and progress in the main game as of November 24 will be copied to the test server. However, the progress you make during the test will not be transferred back to the main server! The PTS has no way if receiving payments, so purchases made in Survarium shop are automatically credited to your account on the main server.

Read the update notes of Survarium 0.33 below. Please note that those are not final. The public server will receive version improved based on the results of the testing! See you on the PTS!

Survarium 0.33 PTS Change Log

Gameplay

    Changed the way pockets for supplies work. Now there are 4 types of pockets: a universal one and 3 specialized ones: for medicine, traps/mines and grenades. You can put one more item of the corresponding type into a specialized pocket than in a universal one, but you cannot put items of other types in it.
    Pockets capacity parameter removed from the game.
    Changed the types and amount of pockets for equipment.
    Added a new modifier called Explosion Protection. You can get it on body armor, pants and helmets. The maximum value of the modifier on one item is 5%. Also some items have explosion protection as an embedded modifier.
    Added support for two new game events:

      Infinite Respect - players might get 2X experience and reputation for victory in any mode.
      Treasures of the Old World - players might receive the best possible reward when ransacking stashes.

Missions System Redesign

    Removed the time limit to finish missions.
    After completing a mission with a gold medal the mission will be replaced by a new one after some time.
    You can change one of your missions for free once per 24 hours.
    When changing a faction, the mission progress is saved. Rewards for not completed stages are changed according to your reputation in the current faction.
    Premium account increases rewards for missions by 50%.
    Increased reward for completing missions with a gold medal.
    If you have reached the maximum reputation level with your current faction you will now receive silver for completing missions with a gold medal.

Equipment and Weapons

    APS: damage decreased to 22, rate of fire decreased to 600.
    SVD: recoil increased to 3.4.
    UMP-45: damage increased to 25.
    Shotgun damage (when firing shells, no changes to slugs) decreased by 20%.

User Interface

    Added a brief description of the collected artifacts when you press Tab in battle.
    Changed notification when a battery is stolen or when it spawns on the map in Battery Retrieval mode.

Optimization

    Added simplified models (LOD) of equipment to display at long distances. This will improve the performance of the game.
    LOD for models of Scavengers equipment: levels 4, 5, 6, 9.
    LOD for models of Black Market equipment: levels 4, 5, 6, 8, 9.
    LOD for models of The Fringe Settlers equipment: levels 4, partly 5, 6, 8, 9.
    LOD for models of The Renaissance Army equipment: levels 4, 5, 7, 9, 10.

Visuals and Animations

    Updated UZI animations.
    Updated anomaly animations.
    Fixed anomalies’ position and position of artifacts in the anomalies.
    Fixed the visuals of VSS and VSS Vintorez magazines for 20 rounds.
    Improved lighting in several places of London, Rudnya, Tarakanovsky Fort, Chemical Plant and School locations.

Sound Fixes

    Reduced the volume of steps when in first and third person. The range of audibility remains the same.
    Fixed the range of audibility of all submachine guns.
    Fixed the firing sound of VSS in first person.
    Fixed the firing sound of A545 in first person.
    Fixed the firing sound of P90 in first person.
    Fixed panning of firing sound of SKS and RPD in third person. Now it is positioned correctly.
    Fixed sound events in some animations of weapons reloading.
    Added unique sound of grenades falling on a metal surface.
    Changed the sound of ambient rain to a more suitable one for Rudnya. Added new environment sounds.
    Fixed positions of environment sound zones. Added ambient sounds for the premises during a sand storm.

Bug Fixes

    You can no longer install the game on drives with FAT32 file system (it was never supported in the first place).
    Fixed the calculation formula of armor penetration. Now when a bullet doesn’t penetrate the armor, the minimum damage is lower.
    Fixed trigger areas of PMN-3 and MON-50 mines.
    Fixed an issue when wounded hands did not give penalty to accuracy.
    Fixed an issue when a fracture of both hands did not block the use of two-handed weapons.
    Fixed a desynchronization when watching replays of matches. Because of this, replays from the previous versions of the game are not supported in 0.33.
    Fixed anomalies’ damage areas.
    Fixed a bug which displayed incorrect (zero) level of equipment required to perform missions.

Changes in Ban System

Added intermediate account bans. The restrictions are the same as in the case of an ordinary ban, but the player receives a notification of a suspected violation of the rules. A detailed investigation is conducted by the game’s Customer Support for 3-7 days, and after that time a final decision is made. When the player tries to log into the game during the intermediate ban period, he or she receives a corresponding notification.

Update 0.33 Preview

We are pleased to announce that work on Survarium Update 0.33 is almost complete. Soon you will be able to test the new version on the Public Test Server. In addition to bug fixes we will also implement some long-overdue changes to balance and gameplay.

Change in the Number of Supplies

One major change will be the redesign of slots for supplies. We’ll remove the modifier that increases the size of the pockets. Instead, there will be a system of specialized slots in Survarium. There will be four types of supply slots in equipment items.

    General slot

      This will allow you to equip any type of supplies. The number depends on the particular type. For example, you can take 2 bandages or 2 grenades, but only 1 mine.

    Medicine slot

      This will allow you to take more medicine, but you cannot put other types of supplies in the slot. Medicines are bandages, medkits, painkillers and antitoxin.

    Grenade slot

      This will allow you to take more than one grenade, but you cannot put other types of supplies in the slot. Grenades are the RGD-5, RGO and Smoke grenade.

    Mines and Traps slot

      This will allow you to take more than one mine or trap, but you cannot put other types of supplies in the slot. Mines and Traps are the PMN-3, MON-50 and Hunting trap.

Changes in Items Parameters

Together with the introduction of new supply slots, mechanics we rebalanced on some equipment. Mostly the changes have affected the number of pouches for ammunition, containers for artifacts, as well as the number and type of slots. Some items of equipment have received additional features. We have also added a new random modifier – explosion protection. This modifier can only be obtained on your helmet, bulletproof vest and pants.

We tried to enhance the specialization of equipment depending on the chosen faction. Thus you will not find containers for artifacts in The Renaissance Army items. But if you want to use the artifacts to the max, consider using equipment of The Fringe Settlers. Equipment of Black Market will allow you to use more mines and traps. Using Scavengers armor you can equip a whole heap of medkits.

We have prepared a table with the new item parameters. We will publish it when the update goes live.

Updated Missions

Changes to the missions system are long overdue. Daily quests are a great way to get more experience, money and reputation. Unfortunately, as a character levels up, the efficiency of missions decreases. The mission timer makes it worse because it does not always successfully match your play time. In addition, when changing faction, you often lose the ability to perform any missions for that day.

In Survarium 0.33 we will make the following changes to the daily missions:

    Remove the timer. There won’t a time limit for daily missions.
    Missions will not be canceled and reset when changing faction. Reputation received for the jobs will be added to your reputation with the current grouping.
    After completing a mission with a gold medal, the mission will be automatically replaced with a new one, after a while. If you don't want to wait you can get a new mission for in-game gold.
    Once a day you can cancel any mission regardless of its progress. Already received rewards will remain with you. If you cancel you will immediately receive a new mission.
    Missions can still be made easier for Gold.
    Reputation reward for completing a mission with a gold medal will be increased.
    If you have maximum reputation with the currently selected faction, then for completing a mission with a gold medal you will receive a significant amount of silver.

New Game Events

In Survarium update 0.33 we will add two new in-game events.

    Infinite Respect

      During the event you will get X2 experience and reputation for victory in battle!

    Treasures of the Old World

      During the event you will get a better reward for ransacking stashes after a battle.

The launch dates of these events will be announced later.

The Public Test Server launch date will be announced later. Stay tuned!

Detailed 3D Face Models

Survarium Update 0.31 introduced four new characters to the game. Several of the game’s developers served as the prototypes.

As an experiment we’re publishing two of these 3D models created by Vostok Games artist Nickolay Barre. You can look at each of the models in detail!

The models can be viewed from different angles. Simply rotate the camera by holding the left mouse button or move the model by holding down the right mouse button. The scale can be changed using the mouse wheel. You can also change the lighting by moving your mouse while holding down Shift.

Testing Survarium - An Inside Look

Testing is an essential part of Survarium development. Finding errors, checking objects on the map, debugging animations and other game features is the responsibility of the QA Department (Quality Assurance). Find out how Survarium is tested in our interview with Tatyana Gaponenko, an employee of the Vostok Games QA Department.

It's quite strange to see a female tester of computer games. How did you get the job at Vostok Games? Did you work in the gaming industry previously?

There's nothing strange about that. I've got a systematic mind and technical education. I love science and I've been playing videogames since childhood.

My profession is in research engineering, so subconsciously I examine objects and find errors in them. Though in general, in IT, it doesn't matter whether you're a girl or a guy, you only need to be smart enough :-)

I haven't worked in the gaming industry before Vostok. I attended courses in software testing, independently studied the basics of programming, and solved logical problems.

After seeing the vacancy of software tester (Game QA engineer) on the Vostok Games website, I decided to apply for the job.

I passed two interviews and here I am, working on the Survarium project.

How does QA Department at Vostok Games work? Describe your working day.

We have a friendly and fun team of six people. In the morning I usually have a coffee and dive into the bug tracking system.

We review the tasks for the day and draw up a work plan. Tasks are distributed among the testers according to this plan. We may test a new game build or verify already fixed bugs.

What processes are involved in the detection of and fixing of bugs?

We get a certain task. After that, we work out the algorithm of actions and prepare testing plans.

During testing we find bugs and prepare technical documents (bug reports). Such documents contain complete descriptions of bugs (errors in the game), including information about the bug and about the conditions of its appearance. Then programmers fix these errors, and we check everything all over again. Depending on the number of bug fixes, testing takes different amounts of time.

How often do players help finding bugs that the testers missed? How does it work? Do you interact with Survarium Customer Support?

Players are the main instigators of our work. Often Customer support informs us about various bugs that players have found.

For example, many are bugs that we have not yet found because of the huge variety of PC system configurations and settings that players use.

I want to thank the players and to assure them that we send reports on all the bugs you find to the developers.

Sometimes in development, a bug remains unfixed for several versions of the game. Why does this happen?

Trust me; the developers want to fix all bugs they're aware of.

However on occasion, for technical reasons, fixing some bugs quickly is impossible. It's only left for us to wait for fixes in the next version of the game.

Sometimes after an update some of the old bugs become irrelevant.

Lots of fans say: "It's so awesome to just play video games every day and get paid for it!" What can you say to these guys?

"It's so awesome to be a bus driver, just ride a bus and get paid for it!" Same thing, right? People need to do their work with pleasure.

We do not simply play a video game here. Testing is a complex process, which is, of course, exciting and unpredictable, but also requires perseverance and care with the use of technical knowledge.

What can you recommend to players who want to be testers? Do they need special education?

Testers have very different education. The main thing is the ability to find bugs, examine, and explore everything around you, starting with simple things, like a pencil, and finishing with complex software.

How do you spend your spare time?

I like to spend my spare time at the computer, studying and reading something new. I'm also into sports. For me achieving fitness goals contribute to achievements in my work and overall success in life.

Two New Stashes in the Survarium Shop!

A band of survivors found two stashes full of awesome goods: The Gunsmith’s Stash and The Huckster’s Stash. The contents of each of these stashes were confiscated and safely delivered to the Survarium shop.

The Creation of Visual Effects

It’s hard to imagine the world of Survarium without visual effects increasing the feeling of post-apocalypse. Among those effects are smoke, anomalies, explosions and gunfire. These and other similar tasks are created by an FX artist.

Read an interview with Taras Tereshchenko, FX artist of Vostok Games, and learn about specifics of creating effects for Survarium.

What does an FX Artist do? What effects in Survarium have you been working on?

My field of activity includes a whole bunch of duties.

First of all, development of particle systems. Including all the sub processes. For example, gunfire and explosions, smoke and fog. These can be called Particle based FX.

On the picture you can see the implementation of one of the particle systems: fire in one of the London skyscrapers.

The second group is responsibilities can be labeled as Surface based FX. In this case we are talking about the effects for which a special model is created. This model, as a rule, has a looped animation. For instance, the Heart anomaly in Mamayev Kurgan. Perhaps you remember (now cut) anomaly with flying blocks in Tarakanovsky Fort, where we used the same approach.

The third group includes Shader based FX. The job is to configure complex multi-component materials, which aim to simulate a specific dynamic phenomenon. For example, the swamp fog in Rudnya.

Also in addition to regular duties, I actively participate in the development of features for the Vostok Engine which are connected to effects. This group of duties can be called R&D (Research and Development).

The last group of responsibilities like the previous one is also not quite typical for an FX Artist. Nevertheless, it fairly describes my activities in the company. It includes creation of animated cutscenes, videos, textures, icons for the engine, testing new functionality, modifying shaders, models and materials, and much more...

As I am the only FX Artist in the company I personally develop all the effects.



How do you start working on effects? How long does it take to create an effect?

Development of an effect, depending on its nature, may go in two directions. When it comes to some familiar phenomenon, for example, a visual effect of an explosion or a gunshot, the initial step will be the analysis of references. I watch numerous videos posted on the Internet by military enthusiasts. When it comes to something that does not exist in the real world, I have to appeal to the imagination. Often the result is an unusual combination of fabrics, textures and mechanics, which may be seen separately but never together.

The duration of work on an effect is determined by the number of its constituent elements, its mechanics, and primarily by the complexity of the textures of its materials. Often the creation of textures for an effect takes 90% of the total production time and is the most difficult part of it. Also it requires a lot of time to rework something when there is a misunderstanding with game designers. We often have to sacrifice aesthetics in favor of practicality and performance.

Which effects were the most interesting and challenging to work on?

I find working on non-existent phenomena the most interesting and challenging. Instead of copying you create your own reality, which lives according to your own laws of the nature of things.

On the second place are massive natural disasters, at which an observer looks with awe.

Some of these effects have not yet been disclosed and await implementation in the Storm game mode.

Were there ideas that you had to abandon for various reasons?

Well, quite a lot. Although some of the ideas briefly appeared in the game. Most of abandoned ideas or effects have a few things in common: some of the ideas require additional functionality that is not implemented yet, many are too demanding for performance.

But there is another group of effects that were abandoned due to changes in the game logic. It is the latter group that causes fierce debate over its fate among the developers and confusion among fans.

Some of the effects for the game look impressive and atmospheric. For example, a lightning strike contacting a radio antenna at Vostok Radar Station like in your video. Why effects like that were not added to the game? What is the reason?

Speaking specifically of the lightning effect, there are several reasons why it was removed.

The first is problems with framerate. As we all understand, this effect is appropriate for rainy version of the level, which requires the most from the user's PC. Recently the increase in framerate is becoming more and more a priority, as the game is played not only on high-end machines but on outdated ones as well.

The second and perhaps more important reason is that the particles for the lighting play a crucial role in this effect. Issues with the lighting and shading of the whole level, and also the clouds of the sky are still not resolved. At this stage we can't afford to distract a programmer from the renderer related priorities for the sake of the effect.

Many players believe that the anomalies in Survarium are too bright and don't fit into the game world. Should players expect anomalies with new effects in the foreseeable future? By the way, how do you see these anomalies as an FX artist?

I assume we are talking about artifacts that appear in random places around the level. I heard about the discontent regarding their appearance. I can only say I've been redesigning some of them. And these changes are now on the way to integration into the game.

But I must say that the changes are not revolutionary. I still believe that the word "anomaly" means something extraordinary, and these effects can't be dull: it is energy, it's plasma, it's toxic fluorescent smoke, and radioactive spores... It is a feature of our game, and you can find such things only in Survarium.

Although I admit I would like to see fewer anomalies on the level simultaneously. But I'm not a game designer, so I don’t call the shots.

What effects would you add to Survarium locations?

If you abstract away from current capabilities, I want to see some serious destruction, big explosions which cover a large area with shards and dust. Also, in my opinion, there are not enough atmospheric anomalies that would fascinate players with their scale and spectacularity. We are talking about dust storms with lightning strikes, neutron storms with strong emission of quasars into space. I would love to work on forest fires, global smoke, mud volcanoes...

What tasks have you engaged in or will engage in the future in the development of the free play mode?

In Free Play mode one will be able to observe a large number of particles at the same time that have a negative impact on performance. In this regard, now great attention is paid to principles of Particle LOD (level of detail).

Otherwise my tasks will not be fundamentally different from the tasks in Team Deathmatch.

Website Update on Monday

On Monday, October 26, the Survarium website will be temporarily unavailable due to an update. The website update will not affect the game: Survarium servers will be online as usual. We will try our best to make sure that Forum, Shop, and Customer Support are available for the most time during the website update process.

We plan to close down the website for maintenance on Monday at 10 AM EET (10 AM UTC+2 due to going back to standard time). The update will take the whole day: hopefully everything will be back online by the evening. We will post updates on Survarium page on Facebook. Like/follow the page to get the latest news!

Gameplay

    Changed the balance of weapons and equipment. Due to the magnitude of changes we are publishing properties of all weapons below
    Equipment repair cost decreased by 10%
    Additional repair costs caused by modifications decreased by 25%
    Headshot damage multiplier reduced from x3 to x2
    Added support of game events. The dates of the events will be announced later
    Now sniper rifles with manual chambering do not chamber the next round immediately after a shot in aiming mode. Chambering starts when you exit aiming mode or attempt to shoot one more time
    Damage from anomalies increased by approximately 50%

Autumn Leagues Season

    The season will last until November 30, 2015
    Only characters of level 20 and above can participate in Leagues
    Along with the usual rating change, wins will get you bonus rating. The bonus depends on your position in the team
    When you first enter each League, you will receive an incentive award
    At the end of the season you will receive a reward. Its quality depends on the maximum League you reached during the season
    Killcam is disabled in ranked matches

Equipment and Weapons

    Effective firing range of submachine guns and assault rifles reduced by approximately 20%
    The damage of weapons outside the effective range of fire was increased by x1.5. The damage of sniper rifles outside the effective range of fire was increased by x2. Weapons still do less damage outside the effective range than inside
    Damage of the majority of automatic weapons was reduced. Now killing a character with an assault rifle requires 4 shots at point blank range (provided an enemy has the armor of equal level). Kills with submachine guns require 5 shots at point blank range
    Armor-piercing of most automatic weapons was increased. Now you have much higher chances to inflict full damage to armor of equal level (except heavy armor)
    Reduced armor of gloves, boots and oxygen masks
    Reduced influence of modifiers on recoil reduction by x2. Now you can get maximum recoil reduction of -15%
    Increased the difference in armor between light, medium and heavy body armor of the same level
    Increased dispersion when firing in long bursts
    Significantly decreased accuracy when firing sniper weapons while aiming and moving
    For most weapons two types of ammunition are now available: ordinary and armor piercing. The latter is effective against targets in heavy armor
    VSS: level of equipment increased to 9
    RGD-5 grenade: blast radius reduced to 6m
    RGO grenade: blast radius reduced to 4.5m

User Interface

    "Distance" in weapon properties is now called "Effective range"
    "Dispersion" in weapon properties is now called "Spread"
    Weapon properties now display recoil rate instead of time to aim
    "Recoil" is now displayed with two decimal place accuracy
    Added tooltips to the graphics settings window

Locations and Visuals

    London: changed lighting and improved overall visual quality
    Optimized locations to improve performance on systems with low-end graphics cards
    Changed particles of random anomalies

Optimization

    Added simplified models (LOD, level of detail) of equipment of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd levels to display at long distances

Bug Fixes

    Fixed a black spot in rifle scopes of VSSK Vychlop and VSSK Dusk
    Fixed a network data overflow error resulting in the game crashing during a battle
    Fixed deserialization of objects that caused random game crashes during a battle
    Fixed a bug resulting in the game crashing when applying graphics settings
    Fixed a bug resulting in the game crashing when you report a player from a profile selection menu
    Fixed a bug resulting in the game crashing when breath holding sound is played
    Fixed a bug resulting in the game crashing when sending system configuration
    Fixed shot particles of VSS and VSK-94
    Fixed an issue with isolation modifier on masks
    Fixed bugs with displaying texts in Spanish and French localizations

Weapon parameters in Survarium 0.32

Rate of fire of some rifles is not representative because of the manual chambering. We are not publishing these values because they can be misleading as the real rate of fire in the game is much lower.

Recoil values in the game can differ by 0.01 because they are rounded and displayed with two decimal place accuracy.

Installing Survarium 0.32

On October 22, starting at 10 AM (GMT+3) to 12 PM (GMT+3) the main game servers will be temporarily unavailable due to the installation of Survarium 0.32. We will let you know when the update is finished and you can enter the game. The final list of changes will be published when the update goes live. See you in Survarium 0.32!

Updating the PTS to Version 0.32a2

We are currently updating the Public Test Server to Survarium version 0.31a2. At the moment we cannot say how much time exactly the update will take. The PTS will be back online later today or tomorrow. We will let you know when the PTS is back online.

Survarium 0.32a2 PTS Change Log

Attention! All weapons in the game now have recoil which was tested in version 0.32a1 on level 9 and 10 weapons.

Gameplay

    Reduced influence of modifiers on recoil reduction by x2. Now you can get maximum recoil reduction of -15%
    9-10 levels weapons’ recoil reduced by 10%
    Spread when firing from the hip increased from 5 to 8 degrees in standing position
    Spread when firing from the hip increased from 10 to 12 degrees when moving in standing position
    Spread when firing from the hip increased from 5 to 6 degrees in crouching position
    Spread when firing from the hip increased from 5 to 9 degrees when moving in crouching position
    Spread when firing from the hip increased from 15 to 24 degrees when sprinting and jumping
    Spread when firing pistols and submachine guns while moving is now 15% lower
    Spread when firing machine guns while moving is now 15% higher
    Sniper rifles (except VSS and VSK) have a penalty of 100% (Barrett has 200%) to spread when firing from the hip

Equipment and Weapons

    SVD: rate of fire reduced to 200
    Barrett M82: rate of fire increased to 60
    Weight of the ammo box of 7.62x51 rounds for FN SCAR-H reduced from 0.4 kg to 0.2 kg
    Weight of the ammo box of 5.56x45 SS109 rounds reduced from 0.5 kg to 0.3 kg. The number of boxes available to equip increased from 2 to 4
    Weight of the ammo box of 5.56x45 rounds for FN Minimi increased from 1.0 kg to 1.5 kg. The number of boxes available to equip reduced from 4 to 2
    Armor-piercing bullets for FN SCAR-H and FN Minimi are now displayed under the ordinary ones in the equipment window.

User Interface

    The Recoil parameter is now displayed with two decimal place accuracy
    Added tooltips in the graphics settings window

    Fixed a bug causing the game to crash when entering lobby with A9-91 in the inventory

Updating the PTS to Version 0.32a1

We are temporarily suspending the PTS to update it to Survarium version 0.31a1. At the moment we cannot say how much time exactly the update will take. The PTS will be back online later today or tomorrow, on Saturday, October 17. We will let you know when the PTS is back online.

Meanwhile please read through the list of changes in the new version. The changes are relative to the previous version Survarium 0.32a0 on the PTS

Survarium 0.32a1 PTS Change Log

Attention! Recoil of the weapons of level 9 and 10 was changed. Please leave feedback only regarding the weapons of those levels.

Gameplay

    Reduced difference between minimum and maximum recoil of the same weapon
    The minimum number of shots for a weapon to change horizontal recoil direction increased from 2 to 10
    Reduced vertical sight sway of sniper rifles by 25%
    Reduced frequency of sight sway of sniper rifles by 25%
    Significantly reduced sight sway of Mosin and TOZ-122. Horizontal sway reduced by x2, and vertical by x3

Equipment and Weapons

    VSS

      Weight increased to 3.4 kg
      Rate of fire increased to 600
      Magazine size increased to 20

    VSK-94

      Weight increased to 3.6 kg

    OZK-18KB vest

      Weight increased to 11kg

    Firefighter pants

      Weight reduced to 3.5 kg

Bug Fixes

    Fixed an issue causing desynchronization on the PTS
    Fixed a bug causing some weapons to have a very high spread when firing from the hip
    Fixed VSS and VSK-94 spread when firing from the hip
    VSS and VSK-94 sight sway reduced to match sight sway of assault rifles
    Fixed bugs with incorrect quantity and price of ammo for some weapons
    Fixed bugs with missing texts in the game
    Fixed color indication when comparing recoil. Now the lower the value, the better

Update 0.32 PTS - Q&A

A day has passed since the beginning of the Survarium Update 0.32 test on the PTS. Players naturally have some questions and the developers answered many of them. Read our answers to get an idea why we made these changes!

Why is the VSS Vintorez on the 9th level only have 10 rounds in the magazine?

It is 10 rounds now. It’s going to be 20 after the PTS test.

Is aiming speed/time for all weapons the same now?

Answer: No. We believe that recoil is much more important than the aiming time/speed.

Why not display both?

Because we have a limit on simultaneous display of parameters – no more than 8 parameters.

And again the balance is not perfect. Will you keep it that way?

It is obvious that this is the first edition of the new balance system, and it has some holes. The PTS test is meant to find them and fix bugs and errors.

If we ignore the insignificance of some parameters then damage, recoil, spread and weight are almost the same. The result is that SR-3M is just like AS Val but with 100 points more of rate of fire. That's the only difference.

The thing is that weapons that use 9x39 cartridges have a pretty big recoil due to high momentum of bullets and low weight of weapon itself. So the rate of fire will only provide advantage in close range combat.

This also explains the decrease in VSS’s rate of fire to 500. We don't want the VSS to be used as an assault rifle. Current parameters are balanced in such a way so that the VSS is a medium range sniper rifle, allowing you to shoot in automatic mode maintaining good accuracy. The current rate of fire makes it quite easy to compensate the recoil of the VSS.

As I understand it shotguns only worth is to be dismantled. They were useless in the previous update, and now the damage has been lowered.

The parameters are displayed for shotguns that use slug shells. Therefore, the spread of shotguns is higher than that of handguns. Buckshot shells increase damage, but also have higher spread.

When you add the modifications for weapons, players will be able to attach optics to the AS Val and it will easily outrank the VSS… then what? The VSS will become obsolete.

VSS’s automatic fire will have higher accuracy.

Explain what happened to the distance.

Obviously, we can't use the real distance of effective fire for weapons. But we tried to keep the proportions.

If the AS Val has an effective range of 400 meters, and the AKM – 1000 meters; than and in the game the effective range of the AS Val will be lower than that of the AKM.

The distance is perceived completely differently in the game. So, at a distance of 30 meters the height of the opponent is approximately 6% of the screen height, or 60 pixels at Full HD.

That is, we have limitations – the player can aim at an enemy when he is closer than 50-60 meters. Everything beyond that distance turns into "pixel-hunting" without optical sights. However, most of the firefights in the game are at distances of 10-30 meters.

What is the reason for multiple sync errors, and even resyncs? And why do they mystically affect dynamics of the battle?

We’re working on it.

Please, make weapons shift mostly to one side when firing with bursts. Macros cannot control it as a barrel may shift either to the right or to the left. However, a good player is able to compensate this effect.

Great idea! We’ll try to implement this on a few guns with high recoil, and then we’ll discuss the results. We’ll add it to the changelog.

The Pecheneg’s recoil is less than that of AL-12 and SCAR-H by x1.5. Why?

The thing is that the Pecheneg has more weight while having almost the same shot momentum.

Many players have a stereotype that the smaller the weapon, the less recoil rate it has. In reality it is not true. The weight of the weapon makes a huge difference. Heavy weapons with strong shot momentum have long but soft recoil. Light weapon have short but sharp recoil.

Weapons now do not match the level. Will you change it in hot fixes or patches? Will you change the levels of all firearms, or change the parameters in favor of casual players and easy balance?

The fact that the weapons now do not match the levels is only the players’ opinion. Our opinion may be different.

We will not return to the old balance system, which allowed shooting while aiming across the whole map. The “laser guns” era is over.

We won’t yield to emotions. Especially now, when synchronization on the PTS still needs to be fixed, so automatic weapons do not work properly.

We will fix bugs and errors in the current balance system, but not before we gather enough statistical information. We are aware that players will have to get used to new parameters.

Don't you think that it is better to make recoil even higher, but remove random spread? Even if you control the recoil and your crosshair is right at the enemy, the bullets fly in different directions. Let the recoil be higher, but the bullets would fly closer to the crosshair.

This question is highly debatable.

Recoil is a hardcore mechanic. The higher it is the more skilled a player has to be.

Spread is a casual mechanic. Because it can provide good rate of fire and doesn’t require high skills from a player. The alternative is random horizontal recoil, but, in our opinion, the spread is better and is more comfortable.

Our task is to balance these parameters.

A character can take 180 standard cartridges and 90 armor-piercing ones for the AL-12 assault rifle. Why is that so?

This is a bug.

You have increased damage at a distance. The problem is that, like it or not, the distance is still very small, and the damage increase in this distance is unlikely to offset more distance cuts.

We’re not the only ones who increase damage at a distance. This is almost an industry standard in multiplayer shooters. And we are not that hard with the settings. We want players to actually see each other when they shoot, when your character is killed from nowhere it’s just not fun to play.

We only answered part of the questions. We plan to continue our dialogue with the community in this format and others.

Survarium Update 0.32 is on the PTS

We're glad to announce that the Public Test Server with Survarium update 0.32 is online! To participate in the test, please download new game version. You can install the PTS version simultaneously with version 0.31. Please note that the PTS will only be available during work hours on weekdays. Also temporary shutdowns are possible when installing updates and making urgent changes.

You can participate in the test if you registered on Survarium website no later than October 12. The Public Test Server is located in CIS, so players from Americas and Europe will have a higher ping compared to public version of the game. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to login to the PTS if you have registered via Steam due to a different authentication system. You can still play on public server after Survarium 0.32 release!

All testers will receive a million silver and ten thousand gold to make purchases on the PTS. All ranks with all Survarium factions will be unlocked so you can buy any weapons and equipment you want. Characters and progress in the main game as of October 12 will be copied to the test server. However, the progress you make during the test will not be transferred back to the main server! The PTS has no way if receiving payments, so purchases made in Survarium shop are automatically credited to your account on public server.

Survarium 0.32 PTS Change Log

Gameplay

    Changed the balance of weapons and equipment. Due to the magnitude of changes we are publishing properties of all weapons below
    Headshot damage multiplier reduced from x3 to x2
    Added support of game events. The dates of the events will be announced later
    Now sniper rifles with manual chambering do not chamber the next round immediately after a shot in aiming mode. Chambering starts when you exit aiming mode or attempt to shoot one more time
    Damage from anomalies increased by approximately 50%

Autumn Leagues Season

    The season will last until November 30, 2015
    Only characters of level 20 and above can participate in Leagues
    Along with the usual rating change, wins will get you bonus rating. The bonus depends on your position in the team
    When you first enter each League, you will receive an incentive award
    At the end of the season you will receive a reward. Its quality depends on the maximum League you reached during the season
    Killcam is disabled in ranked matches

Equipment and Weapons

    Effective firing range of Submachine guns and Assault rifles reduced by approximately 20%
    The damage of weapons outside the effective range of fire was increased by x1.5. The damage of sniper rifles outside the effective range of fire was increased by x2
    Damage of the majority of automatic weapons was reduced. Now killing a character with an assault rifle requires 4 shots at point blank range (provided an enemy has the armor of equal level). Kills with submachine guns require 5 shots at point blank range
    Armor-piercing of most automatic weapons was increased. Now you have much higher chances to inflict full damage to armor of equal level (except heavy armor)
    Reduced armor of gloves, boots and oxygen masks
    Increased the difference in armor between light, medium and heavy body armor of the same level
    Increased dispersion when firing in long bursts
    Significantly decreased accuracy when firing sniper weapons while aiming and moving
    For most weapons two types of ammunition are now available: ordinary and armor piercing. The latter is effective against targets in heavy armor
    VSS: level of equipment increased to 9
    RGD-5 grenade: blast radius reduced to 6m
    RGO grenade: blast radius reduced to 4.5m

User Interface

    "Distance" in weapon properties is now called "Effective range"
    Weapon properties now display recoil rate instead of time to aim

Locations and Visuals

    London: changed lighting and improved overall visual quality
    Optimized locations to improve performance on systems with low-end graphics cards
    Changed particles of random anomalies

Optimization

    Added simplified models (LOD, level of detail) of equipment of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd levels to display at long distances

Bug Fixes

    Fixed a black spot in rifle scopes of VSSK Vychlop and VSSK Dusk
    Fixed a network data overflow error resulting in the game crashing during a battle
    Fixed deserialization of objects that caused random game crashes during a battle
    Fixed a bug resulting in the game crashing when applying graphics settings
    Fixed a bug resulting in the game crashing when you report a player from a profile selection menu
    Fixed a bug resulting in the game crashing when breath holding sound is played
    Fixed a bug resulting in the game crashing when sending system configuration
    Fixed bugs with displaying texts in Spanish and French localizations
